Kuminga, Moody, GP2 for Cam thomas.

realistically giving up 3 players for 2 at this point. Tough to lose gp2 though

I’m guessing you mean cam Johnson that would be ideal.

Yeah oops.

Curry (20) / Schroder (28)
Hield (24) / Curry (10) / Podz (14)
Wiggins (24) / GP2 (14) / Moody (10)
Draymond (20) / JK (24) / Wiggins (4)
Looney (24) / SloMo (16) / Dray (8)

This is as ideal of a depth team as we can get... Schroder makes all shooters more valuable. He at least reduces the negative effects Podz has had as well.. solid lob threat so TJD becomes more relevant, when he plays. Moody, Hield and Waters' values go way up as guys who will benefit from draw and kicks

What a win for the analytics guys today.. cant wait to see this team in action. Will expect some bleh results at first because its a bit new for both sides, but this a much bigger upside move than most realize

I understand that part of why I'm so thrilled is because the team finally did what I wanted them to and was so sure they wouldn't.

But for the life of me, I just can't find the downside here. This v cost us an expiring and 2 second rounders and we can still trade him at the deadline? What am I not seeing? Where is the downside here ?

Great deal for the Dubs but they need at least 1 more move. This just stabilizes the guard position a little, likely means even less run for Moody as Kerr will play Schroder up the lineup at times. You'd think it would mean less Podz but I'm not so sure about that.

I was just thinking about the Warriors and had a feeling there'd be a move today and sure enough I check and see this. Amazing trade for us.

Hope he works out but he didn’t play that well for the Lakers following their Bubble title when they signed him as FA after he had won 6th man of the Year with OKC.

His regular season was down from the OKC season and he had a poor series when the Suns beat the Lakers, who had offered him a multi year extension which he turned down and after the playoffs loss, Lakers revoked the offer.

His playoffs numbers are nothing special, the last one being 2022-23 when the Lakers beat the Warriors in the first round and made the WCF.

Hope that the Warriors try to make other moves.

Now, go get a true center who can either defend or stretch the floor.

He’s def starting next to Steph but I’m sure he will run the court with the 2nd unit too.

It would make me really question who is in charge if they’re still unwilling to trade jk. If they’re unwilling to trade jk then it’s lacob.

But maybe they’re just not getting the value they want for jk so maybe they can look for someone who is willing to give value for jk and come back for cam.

I like that depth and units in that order as well. Yes, with Draymond and Looney starting I would definitely consider moving Hield into starting lineup. My only concern is if they'll sent JK to the bench now in his contract year, he may create bad vibes. And that may negatively affect the team. Then I would rather trade him, especially given his current upped-up value after starting stint, but will Lacob allow it to happen.

I love it. I hope we find a way to add a larger Center as well, but not holding my breath.

Assuming Schroeder, wigs, dray, curry close, do you think Cam is a big upgrade as the 5th man in that lineup over jk/buddy if we need scoring or loon/gp2 if we need defense? I'm not sure I'm willing to give up the picks and depth necessary to get cam Johnson. If it was a true stretch 5 like Turner, I get it. But cam is a wing and we already have a couple that are a similar level.

Getting Schroeder now will allow them to test drive this team for 6 weeks before going back at the deadline to move jk+salary for another piece. I expect Schroeder to be great for jk, podz, and even tjd but terrible for moody. Chances are he helps us get the best out of jk and either rehab his value or make him a more useful piece.

We haven't had a true PG in the non -Steph minutes since Livingston. This might be a game changer. I doubt he plays tomorrow but I'm taking my 10yo to a game soon

He’d be similar to buddy but Kerr doesn’t want to play buddy for some reason. But he’d be a huge upgrade to gp2/jk. Looney will be needed for certain matchups. Apparently they’re thinking about starting shroeder so Kerr really just doesn’t trust buddy for some reason so if Kerr doesn’t want to play buddy the team needs another shooter on the floor. Schroeder can shoot but he’s not a shooter. Plus his shot is slow af.

Let’s say Schroeder closes.
Schroeder/curry/wigs/dray then probably jk/gp2/looney. That’s still only 1 real shooter. Teams will still leave everyone and load up on curry. We’ll probably try Schroeder on ball but there’s still 2 non shooters in dray and one of the 3, so the paint is still going to be crowded and going to be hard for everyone to score. So yes cam as a real shooter is a huge upgrade. If Kerr closed with buddy maybe we don’t need cam but for whatever reason Kerr doesn’t want to.

Maybe the nets were also asking for multiple picks and mjd refused to add jk unless those picks were off the table.

Cam is probably worth 1 1st or a young prospect.

Idk if they weren’t willing to trade jk for pg it tracks that they wouldn’t trade him for cam. I’d offer the 1st in addition to cam as well if it were me though. If I were the nets though I’d only figure jk as an expiring and that’s probably why we didn’t want to include jk.
