One thing you CAN say about this years team is they beat the lesser teams almost 100% of the time....So let's just say that over the next 21 they beat lesser teams 80% of the time....which is what they've been doing. That fact is that they've ONLY lost (except for New Jersey) to teams that have winning records.

So....given that..and given that about 16 of their next 20 opponents (just beat Memphis without a problem)...then why shouldn't they roll them all?

Warriors are a 500 team against good teams...but they dominate the bad teams....

I say Warriors roll....and it's one game now....20 more to go....currently

1-0 on this stretch...

According to the team... they say sometimes they're overconfident at times and it hurts them.

If we play again like we did last night, we have no shot of going 15-4 in the next 19 games. Monta Ellis bailed us out last night.

People gotta remember...we are 22-10 post-Jack, playing the 5th toughest schedule in the league. Assuming we stay healthy, 15-6 or so isn't too out of the question

Update: 3 - 0 so far...

That means Warriors just need to go 14 and 4 now...in order to make the 17-4 record through the end of Febuary.

37-20 record? That's on pace for 55 wins. Is that enough to make the playoffs in the West? :D

Yeah, or a crazy fall from grace by multiple teams. HA!

The west is absolutely ridiculous right now.

Portland's got a great team but they're not gonna keep up this pace. Not even the Celtics kept pace.

Utah... in retrospect, was last season's success the exception or the rule? History will say they had a pretty easy path to the WCF.

I'll believe Houston is good under Adelman when they prove it... over a whole season.

Lakers... Bynum's down 8 weeks. They're primed for a fall.

Warriors have a soft stretch to pad an already pretty good record. And once they're in, Warriors are dangerous - they've had Dallas' number and maybe this year it's San Antonio (who only win it all in odd years). I'd even take the Warriors odds vs. Phoenix.

Out of the 10 teams in the West, I'd pick Denver and whichever team has the worst injuries to miss the playoffs, and I don't think that any team is safe.

This in consistent shooting by Jack is killing me, I can't watch another game where he goes of shooting terribly,he has got to pick it up, he's no longer playing like the Cap'n Jack who came back from suspension.

He seems to be much lazier, not giving a hoot, taking it for granted that he's given the green light.

I love Monta's consistency tho, hope he keeps it up, and our bench is hopefully getting their groove back, we need Barnes , Buike and Watson to play good.

I'm proud of Croshere, he's playing great with us, him and Baron had the best "leveno" 2 player combo today with a +26.

I think with Croshere playing so well, the bench will rejuvenate and play consistenly for the rest of the "soft schedule".

something like 36-18... or something like that that'd be awesome.

Let's hope I didn't jinx anything, i really hope they go way above .500, there 7 games above, let's hope to make it around "16-20" games above .500 with the next 15 somewhat games.

Bump

5-2 record so far, so only 16-2 to go :D

Could've gone 4-0 on this trip, but how can you complain about a 3-1 road trip in five days?

Lots of rest time coming up in the next month or so. Hopefully, they can take advantage of that and incorporate some of the big guys into the rotation.

GS still hasn't moved out of the 8 seed (which they really need to do during the weak portion of their schedule.

Of course, GS is only 4 games back of the top seed in the West so a real win streak could pass several teams in a hurry.

I find it amazing that we are only 2 games behind the Spurs on January 20! Usually we'd be about 20 games behind them at this stage of the season.

This trip was huge for us. We kept pace and won on the road again.

We've become a team this year where when we get down we don't implode, like the Dun years.

We have resiliencey.

We have to just pummel this next group of games to actually leap frog some teams. I'm afraid there will be no rest for the starters this year. We've got to win these upcoming games to get even the slightest edge going for the end of the year run.

If we're gonna ake a deal, then it has to come within this patch of games.

I also wouldn't touch a core player unless it's a no brainer deal for a guy who's not only a stud, but someone who'll fit right in.

Cassell
Artest
KThomas

Those three could step right in and fit. They do things that would help. They're veterans, and they could be had without giving up a core player.
