Warriors were in the running for KG, and I've got to think they'd be up against the tax in that case. So it's hard to say the Warriors would be deeper if only they were willing to open the purse strings.

KG is a superstar. He's a franchise asset that pays for himself in marketing.

Long term contracts to needed roleplayers don't.

P.S. where did you find the actual tax threshold?

P.P.S. and I am not discounting your point. I'm just saying that a player like KG is and investment in the value of your franchise. When a buyer comes calling "we have KG" makes your team worth more, not less. Saying "we have Kurt Thomas, Sam Cassell and Mike Miller" doesn't quite have the same sizzle.

Wright is already at 210 pounds.

The effort he's putting in his body is beginning to show, as Wright said his weight is up to 210 pounds (when drafted, he was listed at 200 pounds). "Last year it was tough for me at school to keep up my weight," he said. "But I've really been working real hard in the weight room and trying to stay on top of my meals and stuff like that."

You should have seen Al Harrington's hotzone from last season. The whole perimeter was red.
