Very small footnote at the bottom of the article states that Millsap is interested in GSW or ATL at the MLE.
It’s bleacher report so take it as you will, but would love Millsap.

Unfortunately it's all about the sales job since the Warriors don't have the money to get it done.
TPMLE is more the enough. I believe with the buyout the Hornets are still paying him $9 mil/yr until 22/23. I mean, he played for the minimum last season where he almost signed with us before Klay's injury. With Kawahi hurt most of the year and the open role here he might take a chance this time. We will find out shortly either way!
He signed for the minimum last year because his salary was set-off against what the Hornets paid him. That's not the case this year, he keeps everything he signs for in addition to the 9 mil from Charlotte. Besides last year he was a big question mark, after a poor season--he redeemed himself and will have plenty of choices this year.
Isn't that pretty much what I said? Whatever he signs + $9 mil from Hornets until 22/23
Latest is Heat, Pacers, Dubs, and Clippers in the mix for him. Clippers in the same boat as us moneywise. Heat seem to be trying for Lowry/DeRozan, doubt they end up with much to offer. Pacers I'm not sure about.
You make a good point, it was a redemption year. But I also feel as if Batum is ring chasing at this point. I think it comes down to us and the Clippers again if he is.

Which backup PG are you high on? I like Mills.
Mills is a shooting guard who happens to be the height of a PG. That’s always been the case. Popovic has worked a Jedi mind trick for years, making people think Mills is a PG……..
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

Most PG’s are combo or a shooting PG these days. Not many rue PG’s left. Who is your backup PG wish?

Jordan Poole - who can drive and dish, and get inside way better than Mills - followed by a combination of Iguodala and Mannion.

He does have a cool name, I’ll grant him that.

but probably closer to the full mle instead of what we can give, but it's worth a shot, maybe he'd like to back up Steph, and play in the POs hopefully
but yea, slim chance.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Thing about Mills is if Poole is off you have another guy who can get you buckets off the bench, that's huge.
But probably most importantly Klay will miss half the season, you might want to start Poole for scoring punch and because he's your best player available. Then Mills and his ability become super valuable.
Not saying Mills is my first choice but he brings value.
I wish we got in on that Aaron Holiday trade, I wanted him drafted by us. He's a good backup point guard and started a lot.
I wouldn't do the full MLE on Millsap, he looked done two years ago. Didn't have the foot speed to do anything on either end at power forward, not big enough to play center. If you are going small at center we already have Green and Paschall. Would rather throw that money at a true center.

Good to hear there is mutual interest with Batum. Hopefully we find a way to get that done.

I want Frank Ntilikina for cheap on this team. See if a change of scenery with a role that suits him better can make him more useful.

I'd be more than happy with batum with the MLE, iggy and javale for the minimum.
never been so high on mcconnell as many fellows on this board, he would be too much of a defensive liability and his 3 point shooting is quite bad.
overall, the backup PG is not a priority as another wing player, a starting centre and a possibly a shooter who spread the floor and makes harder to throw sinks at steph (if jessup doesn't make it to the roster this year).

Re: Free Agent Talk
I didn't realize McConnell was third to last in DRPM among PGs last year. 89th out of 91 PGs.
For the record Patty Mills was 87th, Haliburton was 90th and Nico Mannion was 70th.
It's a flawed metric, but when you are so bad at it, it may account for something I guess.

If the team got Batum and 1 of those options, it would be a good summer.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Steph / Poole
Klay / Moody / JTA
Wiggins / Kuminga / Iggy
Draymond / Batum
Looney / Wiseman / Javale
That is a wet lineup that's competing for a chip in June if Klay's healthy.

Re: Free Agent Talk
The dream for me is still:
TJ
Batum
Olynyk
All 3 may be priced out of the Warriors range. If they are all gone that becomes a much sadder list:
Elfrid Payton/Neto/Bonga
Iguodala/Millsap/Solomon Hill
Robin Lopez/Noel/Willy Hernangomez/Chriss

Batum
Olynyk

Mills creates buckets? To me the offense creates the shots for Mills not the other way around.
Agree on Millsap ... vet min I'd do it but not more.
