Still, the team shouldn't bypass a talent they think could be elite just to get a proven role player.
And I don't agree that the team is going all in now ... they have said multiple times that they want to win now but not sacrifice the future to do so.
you can't do both though, a dynasty will end and this is inevitable. Bulls, Spurs.Lakers..every super team gone through the same. What is the chance that we are going to have a trio like Curry/Green/Klay again? we have to go all in now!
Really?
So in 2011 when the Spurs had Tim Duncan, Manu, Parker, Stephen Jackson, Richard Jefferson all late in their primes like the Warriors core, yet they added and developed Patty Mills, Danny Green, Tiago Splitter, Cory Joseph, and Kawhi and managed to continue and extend the franchise at a high level. Had Kawhi not lost his mind they would have continued being a winning franchise at a high level to today.
Teams can and have continued winning while developing players. The teams that have failed to do that, teams that have gone "all-in" tend to fall fast and quiet.
If the Warriors think there is a potential star in this draft they should take that player. Not doing it would be irresponsible.
