If the Bucks get swept, it's going to be quite something. People have been sleeping on Miami though, that's a nice team with some really good young talent and they're shooting lights out from 3 all year long.

Question is does that prompt Giannis to look elsewhere. I'm not so sure it does.

We talked about getting Giannis for the Ws and before one does that, the Ws will have to improve their 3-pt and perimeter shooting, i.e. they have to add more shooters. One of the big ifs is Andrew Wiggins to see if he can replace Iguodala. This in order to get spacing in the paint for Giannis.

The Bucks will have to do the same thing, so how do they do that? But first, someone on the Bucks has to take responsibility for their second round exit and that prolly is Jon Horst. All this time to develop the Bucks and they get swept in the second round. He takes it in the neck.

Next, the Bucks will have to get a great PG on the market. Who is that and what will it take? CP3? OKC will be asking for some FRPs back and a major Buck player or two.

All in all, it would be easier for Giannis to just say he's leaving. C'mon join the Warriors, Akumpo. Signed Steph.

And just who are the Warriors going to give up for Giannis? It's going to take more than a draft pick or two.

This is a good call in general. If we don't like a guy...we compare him to a bad version of that type of player...if we like a guy we compare him to LeBron lol. I think it's related to trying to project a player when, as the late great Pete Franklin said, with our feet planted firmly in the air.

When I judge Deni on what I see on tape...he seems like a sneaky ambidextrous athlete with a great looking release. He's got NBA size and solid passing. Perhaps most importantly to me, he has shown as his young age that he CAN LEAD a team to victory. He has fire/passion for the game and shows it on the floor.

When I compare that to a quiet unsure Wiseman or a pampered LaMelo, I think of who I would pick in a pick up game to go to war with....who I would trust in critical situations. Deni SEEMS to have the qualities that I'd want on my team.

Anyone know if Miami has cap room? Would they have to trade assets to get him? If so what would they have left on that team. Warriors could move Wiggins and the picks and STILL have three hall of famers on the team. If it IS about winning...I don't see anywhere else but Warriors.

That's probably the minimum, yes. With 2 of those being our 2020 and 2021 FRPs. Plus they'll probably ask for Klay first, which I don't think would happen but it sets the middle ground more to their side.

Agreed.

Sort of reminds me of the unrealistic comparisons some put on Andrea Bargnani with Dirk.

Nobody wants Wiggins. Miami or Toronto and probably others can offer more attractive packages.

Ws select LaMelo for the Bucks. Saves them from having to get CP3. Now, they got:
PG - LaMelo
SG - Middleton
SF - Wiggins
PF - Marvin
C - Brolo

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Bucks aren't trading Giannis this off season.

If they get swept and Giannis is unhappy they will trade whatever and whomever they need to, excluding Giannis and Middleton I imagine, to bring back a primary ball handler and they'll go into next season with that. That's regardless of whether Giannis is demanding a trade or not.

If that doesn't make them substantially better and Giannis is still demanding a trade, they might then look to trade him before the trade deadline.

There's just not enough quality on offer to trade him just to get a pick in this draft.

I'm prejudiced asf against the Bucks. They need to be swept or just lose, lose, lose this series. Then, we'lll see what happens.

Coach Bud coaches Playoff games like it's the regular season.

Ngl the Miami Heat were the only team I could realistically root for since the bubble started. I hope they pull off the unthinkable. I like their playstyle and I used to be so wrong about Butler. He's not a team cancer , just a no nonsense star all along.

Thing about the Bucks is these guys aren’t tough shot makers. Playoffs is all about hitting tough shots, Jordan, Kobe, Bird.

Lol. That's what I was sayin about Coach Buttenholzer before the game. I picked Heat because of their shooting and because it the achilles' heel of the Bucks defense. They played okay until Jimmy Buckets took their soul away from them. It's over. Get the brooms out lol!!!

Are we sure we want to throw in the kitchen sink to get Giannis?

It's a catch-22: Giannis needs a lot of pieces around him to be effective, but you also have to give up a lot to get him.

We're not winning a championship with a Steph, Giannis, JJ Reddick, big three. Rather build like a Toronto or Miami, who ironically both will aggressively pursue Giannis.

It doesn't matter what those teams want....it only matters WHICH team GIANNIS wants....every example in recent history illustrates that point. Factual examples. I bet other teams had better offers for Paul George....Anthony Davis. Those other options don't matter or the fricken KINGS would have a super star.
