What do you think Wanamaker is?

Wanamaker is not a playmaker and not a vet. if things go south 2nd unit needs some playmaking, nobody on this team can make an impact. we are basically from (Klay, Iggy, Livingston) to Wanamaker Poole Lee....yuk

Wanamaker is a lot better than you or other fans realize.

And we have other guys who can create shots. Plus Draymond is our pg.

Only if you don't count the 7 years he played in Europe.

why was he playing 7 years in Europe if he was so great. I mean guys like Dante Exum and Matthew Dellavedova played more games than him..

Who said he was "so great?" He's a vet backup and playmaker. Just what you said he wasn't.

Poole was the worst shooter in the entire league at one point last year.

Wanamaker was second in the entire NBA on catch and shoot 3 point percentage at 48%. That’s legit. Also lead the bubble in free throw shooting I believe.

He also carved out a nice niche on the Celtics playoff run. His defense was big.

I suggest you watch his defensive tape from last season.

PJ Tucker failed in the NBA and played oversea too. You must hate him too?

Arvidas Sabonis played 9 years before the NBA.

One of my all-time favorite players (not best, but favorite) Šarūnas Marčiulionis played 5 years for the USSR before coming to the NBA.

I know it's crazy....but this team by next year could be the best Warriors team in this dynastic run.

Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Green, Wiseman
Wannamaker, Oubre, Paschall, Looney

ALL it would take is for Wiseman to not be a bust, Wiggins to be slightly better than he was in Minny and Klay to be 90% of what he was.

You actually left something else off - a likely high draft pick in 2021 (i.e. the Minny pick). However, we have to assume that Oubre is going to leave - it’s really unlikely that the Warriors would offer enough to keep him. But if he shows out and somehow stays, this team would easily be the favorite for next season, assuming that Wiseman develops, Wiggins gets the Steph “bump”, and health is reasonable.

Which is exactly why any idea of trading this upside for the short-term gain of Harden drives me nuts. The groundwork is there for a longer-term return to the top, and sacrificing that for a couple of years where we’d still be an underdog makes no sense to me.

Curry / Klay / Wiggins / Green / Wiseman
Wannamaker / Jalen Johnson / Oubre / Paschall / Looney
Mannion / Poole / Lee / Smailagic / Chriss

Can a player with a contact with two years left, the second year a Team Option, be traded for with the DPE?

No. It has to be one year remaining or a fa

I think it depends on the team option terms. If they can decline the option now then the contract becomes effectively a 1 year deal.

Atlanta is pretty stacked and maybe they'd trade Heurter for the DPE? Getting him would allow, if it's possible ofcourse, for trading for Giannis, as it looks like he won't resign and stay in Milwaukee.

Getting Giannis for Wiggins, Oubre, Pascall and the Minnesota lottery pick would mean a SG would be needed. That'd give a potent lineup even without Klay and next season the options would be great when Klay gets back.

The DPE can't be traded. It's a salary slot nothing more.

Don't assume Giannis not signing means he won't sign. He has all the power and all the options until he signs then a lot of that power goes away. No reason for him to sign right now.

What compensation would you expect to send back to Atlanta for Huerter? Obviously if they made him available, other teams would offer some combination of players and/or draft compensation, and Atlanta would take the best offer - which certainly wouldn't just be "you have an open salary slot for a year"......

Hmm....I wonder if it's possible that Oubre will be better than Wiggins for us this year?
