Hmm apparently the Bulls and Giddey are $8-10 million per year apart.
So that situation may not be resolved soon either.

Same for grimes and thomas. A weird crop of fairly 1-dimensional players hitting RFA at the worst possible time.

If it happens, Vuvevic will end up on a team that will aggravate Warriors fans.

Isn't it written in the NBA bylaws somewhere that the Lakers get right of first refusal on every released NBA player?

I would hope he ends up on the Lakers.

F that. As much as I wouldn't want to trade anything of value for vuc, OR pay him 20M+, like some were reporting we were interested in doing since last summer, him on a vet min as a backup 5 is nice. I wouldn't want him on the Lakers getting a decent synergy with Luka. Sure, this might be the worst defense ever but on offensive possessions, it would be tough: Luka, Lebron, Ayton, Vuc, Reaves.

They didn't wait at all to get Tatum into surgery, they did it the day after the injury, supposedly doing this increases the recovery time which seems to have happened, usually you're in a boot not for 6 months.

Lakers. Any team that LeBron is on. Clippers.
Only way it doesn't happen is if some team offers up a two-year deal well above the vet minimum.

Re: Around the NBA V: Live and Let Die
The Clippers have waived forward Patrick Baldwin Jr., according to the NBA’s official transaction log. Report is that it's to make room for Jordan Miller.
Not that they should pick up PBJ, but it makes one wonder what they're doing about 2-way slots. Teams are signing 2-ways right and left, leaving the Warriors one of the few teams that even have openings. They have Rowe and a QO out to Armstrong. Judging by the last few years they've used 2-ways quite a bit to eat minutes, yet they don't seem to be doing anything about it this time around.

Who's responsible for the PBJ pick?
He's average 9 minutes in 93 games in the NBA.
Only 22 but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

Drafted in 2022 (#28), that was the last draft for Myers as GM. The first draft for MDJ was 2023 and Podz (#19).

But was it Meyers or someone else who pushed for him?
I guess at the end of the first round, they were throwing a Hail Mary because he was such a high recruit coming out of high school and they hoped pedigree would show that his injuries led to his poor season in college.

Not your fault, but this Twitter post is terrible aggregation.
Somebody was asked about the question about what the Bulls might do if they still have Vucevic after the trade deadline next February. And the answer was AT THAT POINT, he could become a buyout candidate.
But this got posted to suggest that the discussion was about now….. not half a year from now, in a totally hypothetical situation.
He’s not getting bought out now. No chance.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

There wasn't a mention of a time line but they tagged yahoosports, so if you followed the crumbs, you would have seen it was a The Sporting News story on Yahoo Sports and they mention where it came from which originated from Jake Fischer.
According to Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, "We’re probably more likely to see a Nikola Vucevic buyout mid-season than we are to see a trade... Depending on how the market unfolds, depending on how injuries develop. There just really hasn’t been much of a Nikola Vucevic trade market in a while."

I'm sure they got that from the mailbag question in the below video at the 28-minute mark.

Yeah, the problem is it requires people to follow the crumbs to learn what was actually said. Meanwhile, lots of people just read the headline and think something entirely different was said than was actually said.
It reminds me of something I heard yesterday, that one of the political parties is entirely dependent on its supporters not actually reading or fact-checking anything. But I digress…….

In no way could the Warriors take on Derozan in a Kuminga S&T, even if they wanted to. Don't these people in the media have any idea what the cap rules do to teams in the Warriors' current situation?

I think Kuminga and one of moody or Hield works. They can add santos or tjd. I like Derozan but the fit isn’t there. The spacing would just be terrible.
I can hawk a loogie eight feet in the air and catch it with my tongue.
