Re: Free Agent Talk
All the guys us fans were interested in that signed elsewhere, signed for more than we could pay.
The only guys that signed for what we could afford are not guys we would be that interested in.
Yet somehow we got Warriors fans proclaiming that we're not a FA destination? How stupid can you guys be? Just do the math.

Was hoping for Nicholas Batum, Patty Mills and Marquese Chriss.
Now hoping for Anzejs Pasecniks, LiAngelo Ball and Patrick McCaw.

Warriors are 2nd tier in FA destination, if not worse at this point. Not a good look. Baze going on a 1 year deal with the Lakers is brutal.

Re: Free Agent Talk
If true then we dodged a bullet. Bazemore is going to the Lakers because even thought he's not that good they desperately need bodies to play big minutes no matter how not that good those bodies are.

Re: Free Agent Talk
What would it mean for Bazemore to have a "major role" on the Lakers?

In fairness, sounded like Bazemore didnt want to be here from his end of season interview.
But interesting that we offered him more money... which means it had to be using the TPMLE, which means we probably arent in the running for anyone that requires the full tpmle.

No it's not. Bazemore is going to play 24-30 mpg with the Lakers. If we're healthy he'd play maybe 10-12 mpg with us. Guys jumping on the Lakers bandwagon because there are so many available seats.

Re: Free Agent Talk
WTF made any of you think there would be any kind of big signing today?
Batum was always about whether he wanted to leave the team that he rehabbed on, move his family, leave the fans that embraced him, and leave significant minutes for far less minutes. It was never likely he'd choose the Warriors and somehow you convinced yourselves it was a near lock? It had nothing to do with Myers.
Who has chosen a different team than the Warriors that you thought the Warriors had a reasonable shot at? Will they get paid more than the Warriors can pay? Then that's why. Will they get a good chance at more PT or maybe even starting? Then that's why.
The Lakers are a FA target because they had no roster ... literally every player they pick up has a chance to start.
Then you've got no money and limited PT to offer you are not going to be drawing in several FAs on the first day.
Add to that that the amount of money getting thrown at some of these players is outrageous. I loved TJ for the Warriors, but $35M? No way!

We had his non-bird rights, so it could just be that (20% more than vet min)

Good lord
Do the players know something about Klay that we don't?
Maybe Klay has been looking great or he knows Iggy is signing.
