Making definitive statements either way about any rookie is idiotic at this point. Nothing but confirmation bias.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

These questions are so dumb. The dude could be an All-Star *this* season at age 19. He's ridiculously talented. You don't worry about fit with a talent like that, and it wouldn't even be an issue. The best lineups would have Steph/Melo/Klay/Wiggins/Draymond anyway. Use your imagination for like a few seconds to figure it out.

Lol are we watching the same Lamelo? Playmaking ball dominant guards with **** defense in this era of basketball

You clearly aren't watching him.

Never thought you'd be the one to make the "watch games" argument

He isn't a ball dominant guard? He has shown far more ability than I anticipated to to play off the ball, and is generally very good at keeping it moving. His defense is much better than most guards at this stage of their careers.

He's more than a trae young-type that just fills up the stat sheet.

The one thing I question is people saying his defense has been good. Maybe I watched the wrong games, but outside of having quick hands he just looks like another lost rookie on that end.

As head of the Lamelo Ball fan club on the Warriors board I want to clarify that his defense isn't 'good', but he's not as good awful as a lot assumed pre draft. Lamelos non-existent defense in high school, Lithuania, and NBL have been his reputation. He still gets lost in defense yes, but he shows signs of understanding rotations (although yes gets stuck at times).

Overall he's average imo. Not good, not bad.

I expected D’lo level defense, so I’d rate his defense as better than expected.

He did a crossover to get by Ayton defending on the perimeter. Big deal.

Did you not see the tough finish over Crowder in that video? He dominated Phoenix in the 4th yesterday.

Yea, the first game I watched in preseason made it clear that he would have been a good fit here.

Good off ball movement. At least tried defensively. Seemed to be a good teammate. He’s going to be a player.

But big men take longer to develop.

Wouldn’t shock me if in a few years it’s a 2021 conversation about Luka vs Ayton.

Way too early to make pronouncements.

When they do a redraft in a few years, you may have players like Bey or Williams at the top.

Lol at people who make final judgments less than halfway into a rookie's season.

When was it the right time to know Luka is better than Marvin Bagley? Did we need to wait 3 years? It should tell you something that this would only even be a debate amongst Warriors fans.

OK, someone who disagrees with you is biased. Got it.
