Moody will probably be an NBA player next year. If he plays like he did this year next year he will get cut.

One good playoff game does not make me trust Moody.

Will you stop with the “cutting” thing? This isn’t a high school varsity team. Moody is under contract. You don’t just cut guys like that. You trade them.

It’s also not just “one good playoff” game. He’s been solid from the jump in the playoffs.

If Moody plays next year and training camp 2024 like he played this year Moody will not be on an NBA roster for the 2024-2025 season.

But I fully expect Moody to be improved next season. Moody should play summer league this summer.

Half of the people on our board are overrating what Moody has done up to this point in his career.

NBA players do get cut. Call it waived if you want but they get cut. In training camp they get cut. In January they get waived or released.

Moody is already at a respectable role player level, does a lot of glue guy things already, and is doing it at the highest levels right now

*people will remember and value your playoff minutes against Dallas more than rando minutes against Houston mid season.*

ive been a big critic of him and he's playing well so far in the playoffs but he still needs to prove it next season... cant be a 16 game player only in the playoffs....

The thing that muddled the discussion about Moody is that there were two separate issues:
1)What does he need to improve on?
2)Why isn’t he getting minutes?
The confusion arises from assuming that the answer to the first question also answers the second question.

The truth is, no improvement was going to give him any significant slice of Klay’s regular season minutes. Or Poole’s minutes. Or Wiggins’ minutes. Or even DDV’s.

People saying he should have gotten all of Klay's minutes in game 5.

Klay was +16 and Moody was +1.

Klay didn't shoot well but he made a big 3-pointer in the second half.

ESPN was showing history of big road game performances by Klay in the playoffs, a couple more besides the one at OKC. The last one was game 5 at Sacto where he scored 30.

That is why Moody isn't going to get Klay's minutes, the threat is always there. Until Moody shows he can get on a heater like Klay, he isn't getting Klays minutes in the playoffs.

Thank god! Although I will say Kerr always seems to step up come playoff time.

Clearly, he's a useful piece in the playoffs who is impacting the game in many ways. It's unfortunate that Kerr chose not to give him more run in the RS as he undoubtedly he would be further along in his development by now.
