Sac radio jumping on the train to trade Keon for JK, since Malik has no value and Carter has no value. The only player that has real value is Keon.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

The only drawback to Keon is his extension next off season and the roster make up. He's another guard that cant guard up. And we have melton and gp2 possibly guaranteed.

This team would have zero wings with athleticism and speed. Imo, we'd get picked on in the playoffs, but our regular season defense would be good. Mdj will need to pick up a wing because we will be extremely guard and pf heavy.

I think if we get Keon gp2 doesn’t get signed and we sign Martin. But tbh I’m not even sure how we’d get Keon.

All reports are that horford, melton, and gp2 have promises. They aren't even looking at other teams, it's almost as if they shut down their recruiting process.

Not signing them would be a bad look fir the organization especially since it'll be so late in the off season.

I haven't seen a report that GP2 has a promise. Some reporter asked him what was going on and he just said that he was waiting on JK and people ran that he had a promise and has been included ever since. Gp2's defense is slipping and the only way I would want him back is if JK takes the QO as a larger salary ballast.

It's funny how Sac basketball media has gone from "you have no leverage you will take what we offer and you will like it!" to yeah maybe Keon Ellis would be a good move for Kuminga...

Lol that's not what Brendan said at all. He said they should maybe field calls for Keon but not necessarily for Kuminga, but just to see what they could get in general. Really had nothing to do with Kuminga. He said the same thing about Keegan a few minutes later and said nobody should be untouchable...

I think JK takes to QO, Kings look to dump Derozan and maybe Monk to clear cap at the deadline then go after JK in FA next year. Maybe a handshake deal is already in place.

Interesting enough, all of a sudden the King's Lock'd on podcast seems to be changing course after all this time saying they can't and they shouldn't trade K.Ellis are now bringing up (at the beginning of the video) how the Kings opted in this year to Ellis' contract and there's a chance Keon Ellis walks next summer as an Unrestricted Free Agent.

Seems like perfect fit to me. He gets bench this year, then JK situation all over again.

We are in stalemate territory. Let's revisit the over/under on when JK signs his contract.

This may not be a popular prediction, but I think Warriors front office will stand firm, and JK signs on 10/1. Whether it is QO or the deal the Warriors offered, I do not know. JK will strangle the Warriors he does not care about our FA moves. From what I have seen of MDJ, he is a value hunter and does not cave. I think he will force JK into a difficult decision.

I watch 17 minutes of Kings podcast so you don't have to...

"You wanna hear my hot take? ... We should be taking calls on Keon ... When you look at the current iteration of the Kings, Keon is a very good player who helps winning teams. He's not raising the floor (of a bad team). He's a ceiling raiser. A high-end championship caliber team could use him. Like Caruso for Giddey... "if you can get younger talent, with more upside, which kind of is Jonathan Kuminga... Kings should be exploring."

Hard to watch imo. When the second guy started talking then mid-sentence forgot what his end point was... I tapped out.

Kings are one of the worst managed franchises in the NBA. So many bad moves. When they traded Hali, I said immediately it was a horrible decision. They kept Fox instead and he eventually demanded a trade. Now they have no point guard. Listening to podcasters and Kings fans talk strategy about how they want to avoid offering a desperate deal for JK is funny. Ok, so now you want to be smart? You haven't ever acted that way before. Where was this strategic vision when you acquired DeRozan and LaVine and became Bulls West? A middling team that will never win a chip or bottom out and get a franchise changing talent in the draft. Kings are stuck with Vivek as owner. They don't know how to build a team. Look at OKC and Spurs. That is smart team building. Kings are dummies.

That was always a given. What's not is whether this thread reaches 200 pages. Regardless, I'm sure it'll end with the vast majority of people pissed off about however it ended.

In this analogy, is Kuminga Frodo or the ring? He seems more like a Gollum to me.
