Congrats to San Antonio. Popovich and Duncan now have five championships in six goes, should be six from six. Maybe they'll be back to try to get that allusive back to back and Duncan can finish his career on an even greater high.

Why not? :)

LeBron will NOT win a nother title in Miami. Whatever version of Wade we saw will be worse next year. It's not the big three anymore..it's the big 1 and two other fading players.

I just can't seem Miami returning with what they have....they have to add Melo or he's gone IMO.

Two guys have LeBrons number? Draymond Green and Kawahi. Both give him big time troubles and make him look ordinary offensively.

At least we have one of those players :)

I think the Heat need to add a shot blocking defensive center who rebounds, much like Bogut. Anderson was a shell of his former self. The Heat don't have that interior presence they desperately need.

They also need to upgrade on Mario Chalmers.

Wade will be there and he needs to change his body now. He needs to do what Tim Duncan did and get really lean. It has prolonged and improved the older Tim Duncan.

Heard an interesting tid bit on Tim Duncan. And it makes me think he'll come back.

I guess they changed their early preseason schedule of allowing players to come in in early August, I think it was, to get in the Spurs gym to work out, play one on one, and pick up games. Every year Duncan was there the first day it was allowed. So since he's getting older, they changed the day to come in by pushing it back two weeks. The reason they did that was to force Duncan to stay home and not get into it so early. They wanted to keep the guy out of the gym! LOL!

Gotta love his dedication and love for the game. Only player to play in championships in three different decades. The fact that he has re-worked his body and I think he's actually going to Germany like oNeal did (not exactly sure about that one), is a testament to the type of person and playewr he is.

Dwayne Wade needs to re-focus himself as well.

To be honest, I don't want Lebron, just overshadows everyone else with that iconic status and it's all about him. In saying that, he'd have to be a sign and trade, so it'd have to be Iguodala and likely Lee for a max salary Lebron, meaning Green would start at PF or maybe Lebron himself could be the PF.

Don't say that Migya  LeBron can handle the rock, create for others, and can score at will. He can take off so much pressure away from Curry and it's going to free Curry to be even more lethal. Everything Iguodala can't do. Not only will LeBron help Curry, but LeBron is going to help out Klay tremendously because everybody will be targeting LeBron and Curry. Therefore, opponents is going to give less attention on Klay and LeBron is known for knowing what to do when he has shooters on the court.

I would gladly drive Andre Iguodala and even David Lee to the SFO Airport myself IF that's what it takes to get LeBron James to do a sign-and-trade for a max contract, BUT I think LeBron has learned so much over the years from all the hatred and bashing that he's willing to sacrifice again for the better of the team as in money. Where LeBron is right now in his career, he wants championships more than getting a max contract. He's already getting paid from his endorsement with Nike, Dre Beats, McDonald's, Samsung, Sprite, and so forth that it makes up for not getting the max contract. LeBron James is a unselfish player and makes his teammate better so I don't see this "it's all about him" thing. I do see the whole iconic status and overshadowing the team stuff, but that's been his whole career and if that's what it's going to take in order to have LeBron James on this team to make us a contender, I would welcome it.

Not the most credible source, but Stephen A Smith was saying on his first show after the Spurs clinched the title that LeBron would like to be coached by Mark Jackson.

Story just written here on RealGM that Nets and Cavs are thinking of swapping Thornton for Jack. That'd be possibly a good move for Nets but also Cavs, as they could trade Thornton, an expirer for just cap space and maybe sign a big FA, maybe even try to get in the Love trade talks. It also sounds like Livingston will go to another team but he looks to be seeking more than the roughly 3 million a year Nets can offer him.

Brooklyn is considering this move specifically because they expect Livingston to leave, and they can bring Jack in to play Livingston's former role.

Both are bad contracts, the difference being that Thornton's is monstrous but short (expires next summer) while Jack's is not quite as bad but longer. Nobody is likely to take Thornton's contract on without some kind of enticement (i.e. a draft pick) to sweeten it.

Thornton's contract would go well in a trade for some good talent, for a team looking to get rid of long term contracts to create room for next free agency. Cavs could be looking to add players over the next year with use of such an expirer.

Yeah. That's very different than just trading him to somebody and freeing up cap space to make a run at a free agent.....
