Good thing Myers is just the nominal GM. Lacob is going to be pissed off we he finds out he can’t dump Oubre on some team under the apron at the trade deadline. If Oubre doesn’t pick it up soon this contract will go down as one of the most useless/costliest ever when you consider the tax bill.

The small ball pace we have been running fits Oubre. For someone so erratic we sure do placate to him. Do we keep the pace when our bigs come back?

Well, even Kerr sat him last night at the end of the game. When your coach made every excuses to not bench him... to only bench him. That says everything.

Lacob is pissed already and he’s involved in every move we are making except rotations right now.

Trust me that they’re turning over every leaf with Lacob fingerprints all over it.

Not sure what your source is for this statement. Klay went down, having a giant impact on the team's fortunes. Oubre was one of very few replacement options available at the time. Internally, there's no reason for anyone on the Warriors to be pissed at anyone else and/or supplanting the role of the GM, coach or anyone else regarding the signing. Now, if Lacob is pissed at the league for their ridiculous tax structure, that's a different (and entirely reasonable) argument.

If this is true, and there is so much criticism about our current rotations (particularly who is in our starting five), then Lacob is absolved of the biggest screw-up we are currently facing. Which sounds like it is landing square in Kerr's lap, unless someone else such as Myers is responsible for our rotations and starting lineup.

There's always fans complaining about coaches, rotations, etc., etc. What use would Internet forums be otherwise? Not everyone thinks Kerr is screwing up. (I don't.) I think Kerr takes a wider and longer view than most people. It's a long season, even this year.

Well the entire Warriors team is playing better since Wiseman was out....
The reasons are obvious....Draymond doesn't need to baby sit him for one. Two...the spacing is a crap load better...three...the team is just much more deadly offensively with small ball.

Now...they are getting crushed (on average) on the glass....so it's not sustainable.

NOT saying Warriors will be better off without Wiseman...especially in year two and beyond. Just saying that in the short term it's much easier for the team to play without a giant rookie stumbling all over the place.

Other than his 40pt night, Oubre hasn't been in the closing lineup in the 4th with the other starters since JW was taken out of the starting lineup. He is "starting" for appearances/asset value sake. He has already been moved to a sub role throughout the game.

he has been playing like 3 bad games followed by a 1 good game. I dont see us getting better than 8 seed with him putting up 13 shots a game..i mean is Kerr really wants to use Oubre to tank the season?

I wish that Oubre would just stop forcing shots when he obviously doesn't have it going. Then I guess if he did he wouldn't be Kelly Oubre.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

 I forgot the layup on his back.. yea that was a pretty bad play as well.

Will say though, there was like a dozen instances where he made the smart play last night, relative to 3 (this play, his lazy TO early, chucking a contested 3 in the 3rd) where he didn't. Dunking on Oubre is buckets of fun to be sure, but let's not lose sight of reality here - he played like an average BBIQ player last night and for him, that's basically the honor roll

Oubre is improving. And you can notice some subtle changes to his play. Will he be able to learn fast enough?

1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)

he is ranked 356th out of 457 NBA players in RPM, doing much better than I thought.

Only slightly worse than Derrick Jones and Theo Maledon, Rui Hachimura and Melo

Noooo don't hurt his feelings he had a nearly halfway decent game last night.
