Ok now our focus is ‘back’ to butler lmao. Our own dumbass FO have panicked hard for the last 3 days.

Whether it’s perception or real they’re gonna look like fools if they don’t come away with something by tomorrow

Man I really expected nothing, but the KD stuff late last night seemed like it had some kind of real chance (however low) based on how the reporters were talking. From KD's perspective, sounds like it was never realistic.

I just hope we don't do something stupid like get Vuc. I'd be interested in Zion, but that's probably it. Doubt anything major happens and we just have some mid season.

You are forgetting the whole legacy thing. I think a huge part of him leaving was showing he could win without Steph, and if he finishes his career here he never gets a shot at proving that view wrong. I really think that's the driving factor, even he isn't a big fan of the Steve Kerr offense... he did win 2 FMVPs!

Hope not for Butler. I still think Vuc for expiring and protected 1st is the better route... so that there is still salary on the books to do a trade in the off season.

A Butler trade would have to be Wiggs, Gp2 and Schroder to work and stay below the first apron.

So a now desperate f/o (thinking of mortgaging the future) is striking out on everything... with an already old and underperforming warriors core.

Here's a trade idea.

I’m mostly disappointed I got my hopes up that Draymond might actually be traded.

If we need to go for an all-in move, ok, but please target a younger player, preferably a frontcourt one. Durant is what, 36 or 37? No, not interested. Same for Jimmy.

Realistically though, I don't see any available trades or players which would improve us. I'd like to be surprised by tomorrow, sure.
This. I wouldn't mind getting Vooch and Coby White. But we would probably overpay.

What is the most annoying thing is they stopped pursuing Zach Lavine so they can go big fish hunting instead of getting Intel on whether this players actually want to come here. Dumb and Dumb. Wasted so much time and opportunity just for the players to say no.

There are scenarios with the Heat/Raptors where the main pieces (plus a million salary pieces) would be:

Warriors get Butler and Olynyk

Heat get Kuminga and expirings

Raptors get Wiggins

Other details: us also getting Shead, Raptors getting Highsmith, and Heat getting Brown/Dennis/GP2 expiring contracts (and probably picks?).

That would leave us with too many centers, so maybe swap GP2 for Looney... but in my perfect world we then send Trayce and a 1st to Kings for Ellis and we'd have something like:

Steph / Podz / Shead
Ellis / Buddy / Waters
Jimmy / Moody
Dray / Kyle / Santos
Olynyk / Loon / Post

All this being said, I'd still probably rather cut out the Heat and just try and get Ellis/Olynyk without giving up Wiggins/Kuminga and half our team/picks.

Kerr and Dray used to be among the primary reasons why big free agents wanted to come here. Now it sounds like they're major reasons why they want to stay away. How things have changed.

With KD pushing back from the table I'd be really reluctant to include Wiggs in any deal. Effectively our best value contract at present.

Welp, Kings got Jonas. So while we are chasing Jimmy our chance to send Trayce to Kings is gone.

The only deals I'd include him in at this point is KD or Zion (and I'd prefer to send out Draymond instead if it's an option), but it sounds like those aren't happening, so might as well keep Wiggs until the offseason at least.

I think it really comes down to the fact that Draymond is Draymond and Steph is old.

Players with clout have more of a say in where they’re getting traded to and GS is not a contender and is a fringe playoff team.

Jimmy Butler probably makes this current Warriors team much much better tbh.

So we are spending our time going after KD who didn't want to come here (obviously) and Jimmy who said he wouldn't sign here?

We are definitely ending up with Vucevic. Let's just hope we get Phillips or Terry as well so there is some sort of rebuilding piece included.

Significantly. People here are high when it comes to Jimmy.

He was in the playoffs 2 years ago putting up prime Jordan performances over like 25 games. He is an absolute monster.

And y'all don't want to trade Wiggins for him?? Delusional.

If he is willing to sign an extension, trade would have been done already and take the risk if it works or not.

No way Dubbs pay Wiggins, JK, others, and at least 1 pick for 2 months rental.

Are you saying you want a 2 month rental for that asking price?

Durant also OUT now. Would have been more interesting about 6 hours ago.
