The damage is done with Kuminga's nickname. Kids on the Internet are running with it already and it's not even Warriors fans who started it or wanted it.

Go on Instagram and look at any sports account that posted Kuminga's dunk (e.g. SportsCenter, House of Highlights, NBA, Bleacher Report, etc.) Every single post has people commenting his nickname all over the comments sections.

The kid's gonna have to go with the flow. People are already selling t-shirts. Poor Moody is gonna get labelled "Jizz Brother."

The way he jogs....moves...reminds me of a past player I can't quite figure out who....

Shawn Kemp is longer and less skilled with the dribbled...but the natural movement and aggression sort of reminds me of him.

But the player I think he moves and acts like the most.....a bigger stronger Victor Oladipo.

Is it too late to do anything about it now? Guess so.

Heading to Vegas right now to catch the last game tonight. If I talk to Kuminga, I’m going to ask him about his nickname.

People are way too desperate to find any nickname to stick outside of KumBucket. When you're desperate like this, it never comes off authentic and feels cringe.

I feel really confident that Kuminga is going to be a really big time player. He averaged 16ppg in the G-League as what would be a true college Freshman. He probably would’ve put up 20+ in college and maybe went #1.

The big thing is that he’s dominating physically before his physical peak. I can’t recall the last small forward that dominated physically the way Kuminga is, maybe KD and LeBron?

He actually graduated early and reclassified. He would have been a high school senior playing against high schoolers last year.

It’s true, Kum Buckets can get very sticky after a while.

Cannot imagine him liking it...

Tell him to change that number too…..if GP2 makes the team and keeps 0 just tell the Congo Express to switch it to 8 since his favorite player was Kobe. That 00 is going to give me a stroke if he keeps it his entire career

Met a guy on the shuttle. He was from Brooklyn and is here to see Shariffe Cooper. He said his buddy coached at St. Patrick’s HS, and raved about Kuminga, and what a good kid he is.

I like The Panther best. Kuminga kind of moves like a big cat, with a coiled, predatory energy, probing for weakness followed by a quick, deadly strike. Panthers are actually just dark-pigmented jaguars/leopards, which happen to be native to The Congo.

Actually he would have been a high school senior during his time in the G league, he reclassified to make himself draft eligible this year instead of 2022…….insane

Exactly, at the start of the season he will be 3 months younger than Kobe was when he started his first season.

I wonder how Kobe would have looked if he had played his senior HS year in the G-league?

Adam Silver took a moment before reading the name at the draft. Thankfully, he didn't pronounce it "Kum Ninja."
