Blame for what? The game 2 loss?

Seemed like a pretty straight forward loss where Jimmy got hurt, Podz was not himself, a handful of poor timed turnovers, and we needed a couple of Steph, Moody, Buddy, Kuminga, Podz to provide some scoring spark and none of them did. While on the other side they had a few guys step up, most notably Jalen.

Thats why we lost but nothing egregious that requires pointing fingers or blaming. Series tied heading home, go all out to fix it and win game 3 with or without Jimmy.

Blame for what? The rockets played like their season was on the line. They came out with more force and energy and we didn't match it. Jimmy got hurt and it all went down hill from there. Expecting a win after Jimmy got hurt would've been farfetched.

TBH I thought we played fine, got back into the game somewhat a couple of times but just couldn't sustain it. We aren't going anywhere without Jimmy, our team is too young and inexperienced outside of the big 3. The team is really not great outside of Steph and Jimmy. Everyone else is just role players.

Is anyone blaming them for the loss? Or did you create a strawman?

Just reading the comments about JK and Kerr historically gets blame from many here.

I have no issue with either, Kuminga hasn't been playing at game speed for a while and for Kerr, losing Butler throws off the offense, defense and rotation, especially with Podz out.

Kerr has been telling him to be more like Shawn Marion and wanting to develop him in that way. JK refuses and wants to be Kobe. He's not good at being Kobe. That's on JK not Kerr.

I'm really tired of this JK conversation though. We've been having the same conversations for 4 years

Actually the situation at hand wouldn't be so bad for a Kobe. Butler out. Non-Steph minutes. Who do you turn to? Podz? The guy who does what is expected of him?

We're still having this conversation because the need in this situation is so predictable.

But JK sucks at the Kobe role. He keeps trying to play a game that he isn't capable of doing and in doing so brings down the team. He takes terrible shots that he continually misses which disrupts rhythm, flow, and momentum. If JK was Kobe then we could live with it. Just like how we can live with Jimmy iso'ing multiple possessions. But JK sucks at it. If he was good then the team would adapt, but he's not good so he needs to adapt.

Most of our players have improved with a break showing they are interested in improving thier games. Kuminga has regressed and he has no buy in for the team. He rather make sure this team loses.

It looks like it Amen wasn't pushed, he moved his body into Butler to add physicality into the play. More reckless than anything. It fits into the gritty style of play of between the teams so I'd chalk it up to an accident.

Really sucks though because Butler is the most important player for us in this particular matchup.

Agreed. To me it looks like Amen felt contact and assumed it was Draymond (it was actually Adams), and so he flopped to draw a foul on Dray. And did it right before Jimmy was going way up high for a rebound.

It was a really bad (and dangerous) place to flop but unfortunately a lot of people do it… and to be honest the rockets more than most so maybe there is some fault there because this team is known for diving all over the floor with reckless abandon.

But people are aware if someone is dunking, they donot undercut them. This was intent to injure with a NFL style tackle. Infact this would been foul to dunk someone on his back or head by lifting his legs.

Man, Houston is just bad news. Butler now, but isn't Houston also where Steph slipped on a puddle of sweat and missed not only that series but most of the next one as well? Plus even though they weren't on Houston, you also have the Brooks-GP2 incident, and FVV with some rough play when he was in Toronto in the Finals.

We just have to hope. My feeling is there's nothing broken, but he's either going to miss some games, or be limited. And because of that, and because of the G2 loss, it means it's now likely going to be a long series, which is very bad for the Warriors no matter what else. Lots of pressure on the Dubs to win Game 3 at home now, Jimmy or no Jimmy.

Curry had his MRI done that evening when he fell and the info wasn't released until around noon. They flew Butler back last night but I'm not sure when the MRI happened.

Pray for the bear.... as if he's fighting a bear, pray for the bear.

For context from Grok (I didn't feel like looking up the info)
Kobe Bryant first shared the quote “If you see me in a fight with a bear, pray for the bear” in a Facebook post on April 13, 2013, the night before his surgery for a torn Achilles tendon. This was after he suffered an injury during a game against the Golden State Warriors on April 12, 2013. In the post, Kobe expressed frustration and determination, describing the quote as reflective of his “Mamba Mentality” of enduring and conquering challenges.

Any word from fat Ernie? This MRI is taking forever. Maybe the NBA told them to wait so it takes a little attention away from the NFL draft lol.

Nope, it seems the pelvic contusions are contagious in Golden State, I believe Curry's still dealing with his, I think Kuminga is past his. It's really weird that Butler's in his mid 30s and he's now getting injuries that any age could get vs the old man injures. Oubre's and Thompson's were just spazed out plays that shouldn't have happened. With it being this late in the day I'm leaning towards Kerr having to address the team in person letting everyone know Butler's done for the season with a hairline fracture (it would have to be that small for the x-rays not to have picked it up). If Butler's done and GS is bounced, I guess I'll have to root for my hometown team, I was hoping to go watch the Warriors play them in the WCF.

I'm expecting an announcement either at 5pm PST, or shortly thereafter, to coincide with the first pick in NFL draft lol. The series odds haven't moved much... would think someone in Vegas would know if he was done.
