Scouts say Toppin is the kind of player who's ready to contribute right away. He's projected to be at least a solid role player for a long time in the league. Some have an issue with the fact that he doesn't appear to have a very high ceiling and in a normal draft he'd probably be drafted in the 8 to 12 range but this draft is so terrible that it's looking like he'll be a Top 5 pick.

Stewart dropping in the mocks is strange to me. This draft doesn't have alot of superstar potential, and this dude is as solid as is gets. I can almost guarantee he ends up going lotto to a smart GM that realizes this draft is weak and grabbing a solid starter/rotation guy isn't a bad thing.

I could see him ending up with a horford/millsap type career of really solid above average contribution to winning teams.

I still don't love the top of this draft, and feel way more comfortable with a mid 1st solid big like Stewart/Tshiebwe or a flier on Lewis/Pokusevski.

Of course that changes weekly so....

Yeah he can be a target if Warriors fall to 7 or so

In 40+ years of following the NBA draft, this is the first year I can’t find anybody I really like (other than Wiseman who I’ve barely seen play)..Warriors timing couldn’t be worse

Hoping there’s an international hidden jewel out there

Right now ..without all the input I’d usually have at this point..I’d go

1. Wiseman
2. Ball
3. I don’t know man..this scrub or that scrub..hopefully there’s really good players out there I Havnt seen enough of

Only strong opinion I have? Just say no to Ant E

I can't believe you are falling for the Ball hype. Disappointed.

I liked Lonzo..

Not sure if I even like Lamelo..but I don’t hate his talent so he has to be my #2 at this point..

We are at odds this time around..I absolutely loathe Ant Edwards and you seem non-commital..It’s kind of the exact opposite regarding this version of Ball

I'm not a Lonzo hater like so many. Mostly because he plays defense.

LaMelo plays zero defense. You keep talking, like I do, about defense . That's why the hype around LaMelo is so head scratching.

I'm non committal on Edwards only because I need to see some further evaluation on him. I'm right with you on him this far though. I have said he looks good in his uni, and that's about it so far.

I'm non-committal about all the draft prospects cause I haven't watched a second of college basketball this year. That's why I want us to get #1, trade down once for future unprotected 1st (or 2) from another bad team, and then trade down again for a veteran wing that is starting quality.

I'm thinking... trade down #1 is with the Hawks to get a future 1st from them, and so they can take Wiseman. Then trade down #2 is with the Suns (Oubre) or Wolves (Covington) to the late lottery. Of course not only do we need to get number 1, but the Hawks gotta come in at #3 or so. #lightyrsahead

interesting idea. I wonder how this works in terms of salaries. So the Warriors can sign them next year without any trouble?

Such a pretty jumper. Size, stats, skills seem very similar to Joe Harris at Virginia. Guessing thats his ceiling right?

...

And before I hit send I decided to do some googling and it looks like they are from similar area and worked out together this offseason.

Kispert isn't showing up on the mock at draft.net.....I imagine once the Tourney gets going , and they lay waste to several teams, possibly playing in the Title game, he will most likely be elevated to the middle of the 2nd round at least.

I don't think we can ever have to many shooters, so my eyes are on him.

As soon as the Dubs acquired the Jazz pick at the end of the 2nd Round my thoughts went immediately to Kispert. The guy has a pure stroke. I was hoping they'd snag Norvell last year, especially after he went undrafted, now he's averaging more than 15 PPG and shooting 40% from 3 in the G-League.

Kispert is a good college player, nothing really more than a 3 ball specialist in the NBA

Hard to grade Wiseman since we can't see him. I was willing to give Lamelo a shot, but I'm liking him less and less each time I see him. He seems like nothing more than a completely undisciplined playground baller. He could use 2-3 years of college ball then I'd consider him.

I'm at a point where I don't really want anyone but Edwards. I wouldn't mind McDaniels, but only lower down the lottery and he's probably not going to contribute right away. Other than that I be like *fart noise*

What do you guys think of Okoro? I think his defense can be useful.

Okoro is one of the reasons I want to trade down, I like the trade down options (Lewis, Green, Okoro) much better than the options in the top 3 or 5 for us

He's my favorite prospect in this class. I think he will solidify himself as a top 10 pick, especially since he is one of the few players projected to go in the lottery that has a good chance to make a deep tournament run.

His game has shown improvement on the offensive end throughout the season, and he has shown some nice flashes of quick decision making and passing ability. If he is able to improve his handle, then he will be even more of a threat as a passer. Considering that his handle has already improved a great deal since high school, I think he will continue to make strides in this area.

His jump shot doesn't look like it has anything wrong mechanically, and it seems like he just needs more reps and fine-tuning. He also has shown pretty nice touch around the rim, so that also gives me hope he can be a legit offensive threat. He can finish with both hands around the rim, and his mature body allows him to finish through contact.

Jaylen Brown is someone that I think had similar attributes coming out of college, and I think Okoro's impact his rookie year could be similar to impact Brown had his rookie year. Not saying that Okoro will end up as good as Brown since Brown has made huge improvements since his rookie. They both had very developed bodies as freshmen and used their explosiveness to overpower defenders. Both had ball-handling and shooting concerns, but were heavily touted for their defensive instincts and ability to guard multiple positions.

Any lead guards worth a look? I've sorta ignored them while hoping for a stud wing/big to show up.

From my limited research, the guys that I don't hate are:

Lamelo - kids got talent... any chance he can flip the switch on defense? I mean his brother plays on that end...
Hayes - seems like the top PG in draft
Ramsey - Playing much more like a SG, but he's been really good. I sense he will be a sleeper
RJ - overshadowed by Lamelo, but he's pretty smooth

Not sure what to think:

Nico - how high do you draft someone that will be a solid PG but not a star?
Haliburton - everytime i want to put him top 10 i think of Acie Law run at A&M....
Cole / Maxey / Theo - For some reason i've blocked them from my brain and assumed I hate them.
Winston - Draymond is absolutely going to annoy Bob all summer to buy a pick for him.

We have that late Utah 2nd. How high is he projected?
