Clearly the Warriors need a guy that can flat out score CONSISTANTLY. Yes....wings are important....but Wings that are a crap shoot every night from range and making NBA quality moves....no bueno.

Anyway...only one game but I wouldn't be shocked to see Warriors pulling a trigger if the Warriors continue to struggle.

Not sure if we can trade that pick until we know where it lands. We’d have to do a separate deal with OKC to try and have them drop the protections on the pick. But that means sending another asset.

Spurs have a lot of young wing-sized players who can all run and jump.

Most of them were mid to late first rounders.

I don't know if they can shoot consistently and Pop might not stick around to see if they can reach their ceilings.

They gave Derrick White a big contract too.

It is still too early to say, but would you guys trade Wiggins+Paschall and one of our draft picks next year for Hayward?

I would. But it would have to be the worst of our 2 picks.I'm sure many will disagree but I'm in the "try to get the big 3 another chip" camp. We ain't sniffing a championship with Wiggins getting significant playing time on this squad.

If Wiseman proves to be a stud, does it even matter if Wiggins is the fourth option if Klay is healthy?

In my opinion, yes.It would be the same things as when we had Barnes but worse. Also Steph, while still great, will probably never have another outlier season like when he won the MVP unanimously. Klay might miss half of next year. Wiggins is to erratic. He's going to have 15 games every year like the 2 he just had and 15 games when he looks like a borderline allstar. The other games he will just be his plain ole inefficient self. No championship DNA whatsoever.

My issue with Blake Griffin or Kevin Love trade proposals is that neither player is a positional fit given that Draymond and Wiseman will be starting at the 4/5 for the foreseeable future. If the Warriors didn’t have Wiseman, that would be a different story.

I like a Blake Griffin trade from the standpoint of trying to shave a year off of Wiggins contract. In that case, it would be nice to find a 3rd team to re-route Griffin to for a guy that fits the Warriors roster a little better.

I don’t want Draymond at the 3 and I doubt Griffin or Love will want to come off the bench...and I doubt the Warriors would want to pay either guy that much to come off the bench.

Totally get this. But I see Blake/Rose as the 6th/7th men to dominate 2nd units. I don't think trading Wiggins gets us a starter level player. But it does open up a starting spot for someone that fits better with Steph/Dray, aka a shooter like Lee or Mulder who aren't as good of players but better fits.

Blake for Wiggins, Paschall, Smiley
Det agrees to send Rose via DPE (maybe add a couple 2nd round picks if we can)

They might do this to cut some money in a rebuild, go with the younger Wiggins, and maybe get a future rotation piece with Paschall and Smiley.

Steph / Rose
Lee / Wanamaker / Mulder
Oubre / Bazemore
Dray / Blake
Wiseman / Looney

Thats an 11 man rotation that can possibly compete for playoffs while being a tough out in round one.

Would Blake agree to come off the bench? Especially for a team that was his direct rival during his prime that still has the players in place from that time? I doubt it.

Joe Ingles / Niang (Salary add) for Kelly Oubre

Ingles has fallen out of the starting spot in Utah, and they save money on Ingles 2nd year here. They could add a younger guy they could look to start for them. We get Joe as a secondary ball handler/passer.

Who says no?

If you’re going to sell high on Wiseman, you do it in a deal that brings back a star. You’re better than that one Clyde.

what star do you think Wiseman get right now?

i think Hali/Barnes is a pretty fair exchange for Wiseman and to take on Wiggins' contract

I’m probably in the minority but I’m not writing off Oubre just yet. If he starts shooting his career averages again, people will have a very different outlook on him imo.

He could be solid in a 6th man Iguodala type role or even starting next to Curry and Klay if the situation calls for it imo. Plus, you might be able to get him at a reasonable price going forward.

I don’t want to mention his name here but we all know it’s the guy you hate. I’m not saying I would do it...but that guy you hate is really freakin good.

Personally, I’d rather just keep Wiseman and build with him and whoever they draft with the Minny pick and our own pick in the 21 draft.

Houston would ask for a lot more than Wiseman for Harden, they'll ask for a 2021 first, a 2023 1st, and more, that is not something I am ever willing to do for Harden

this is simple to me if I'm Myers -- I'd approach Sac for what makes the most sense for both teams, Hali/Barnes for Wiseman/Wiggins, they get a stud big they've been looking for, we got a good young prospect in Hali who's a great fit in this system, exchange Wiggins for Barnes who knows how to play with Steph and this system, and follow it up by taking Mobley to fill the Wiseman gap in the 2021 class.

that would be my plan, at least at this point. we'll see. i guess it helps that I had Haliburton ranked higher than Wiseman in their class, so maybe that's why I view this as a good deal. if you didn't it's fine.

Oubre is a rental for us. There's no way we are resigning him for what he'll command next season. If we did I'd be shocked, and the only way it happens is if he has a really poor season and we get him on the cheap.

Ingles is locked in at $10m for next season, and for me, fits better as a ball handler/passer/3 point guy.

Ingles is Australian though...so they’ll have to give us a pick for us to even consider it :)

On a serious note, I think Oubre might be in the $10-12M range unless he really tears it up this year.
