Interesting ....Wovles are just so damn bad....
BTW...notice how the only time they were decent in recent history....Tommy Tib....defense ...and now look at the Knicks. :)

Defense...wins....something at least!

Honestly at some point Wolves are just going to start taking sooooooooooooo heavily to get that top 3 worse record....

mmmm....the history of the Wovles blowing it in favor of the WArriors ...nice.

Anyone remember Johny Flyn's 50...and we all said "crap...we got the wrong guy!!!!!" lol

They're so bad. League pass is free this week so I finally got to tune in and watch them. Defensive breakdowns nearly every trip down the floor.

If Dubbs are lucky enough to get number #4 pick... the answer is easy. Get what is there left at the top 4 potential as superstar. I don't really care, it is win win no matter which of the 4 is left.

But Wolves are playing like puppies and got only 40% chance to get anything for 2021 draft for Dubbs.

You might be confusing that with the 55 point game from Brandon Jennings.

Jennings you mean, I think. Flynn might have gotten to 50 for his career though?

I'm really starting to buy into the idea that even if they get a top 3 pick, they wont be much better the following season.

Unfortunately that would make its trade value a little more wonky, and that's what I see the pick as - trade fodder. So not sure how I feel about it. Ah well, at worst its only a 40% chance to not get the pick. And I dont think the Wolves are necessarily the worst team in the league. At least not when KAT comes back

Crazy finish in Detroit with the Rockets prevailing. Wolves will not go to the worst record tonight.

Edwards looks even worse than Wiseman last couple of weeks. LeMelo not looking that fresh himself lately. That is the NBA rooks. Coaching adjusts, not NBL any more.

I think between the Warriors two draft picks they will only bring in one rookie.

So they will wait until Summer to see where the picks land. Then they will try to use both to move up in the draft, which is almost impossible.

Or they will package the pics to trade for a legit veteran player. So summer is when they will make all of the decisions for Klays come back.

We will do something on a smaller scale at or near the deadline to fill a need or two. They may wait for buyouts, but if something comes up they like, they’ll pull the trigger. But I don’t see anything major going down until the Summer.

I don't think you're going to get a major player unless it's multiple picks, maybe over several years.

Look what the Blazers gave up for Covington.

Look what the Bucks gave up for Jrue.

Look what the Nets gave up for Harden.

Until prospects blow up, they're not going to command much.

Let's say a couple of years ago, in Luka's draft class, the teams with the top 3 picks wanted to trade their picks for an all-star or all-NBA level max player. Would a team have traded a top 10 or even top 15 player for one of those top picks because they thought Luka was going to be great?

No they likely would have demanded 3 or 4 first round picks, maybe a couple of pick swaps and some rotation players.

But now, if some team wanted to trade for Luka, the Mavs would demand multiple FRPs and rotation players.

I also wonder if Dallas might have traded the rights to Luka, after they traded for him but before he'd played a minute in the NBA, for someone like Harden straight up.

Right now the Hawks might demand a boatload of assets for Trae, even though it's not clear that he can lead his team to the playoffs and win at least a couple of rounds.

Hell, look at how D'Angelo Russell fetched a potential #4-8 pick.

Teams don't value any single pick that much. It has to be several of them once a team decides on a rebuild.

Depends on where the Minny pick and our pick falls to. A combo of those two picks could fetch a very good player. In theory of course.

We could use them to move up. But moving up is so difficult.

I really have a hard time seeing Kerr wanting to bring in two more rookies. One, sure, but two? Not so sure.

If their second pick is 15-20, then that player is probably a role player developmental prospect.

So he gets minutes instead of Poole or JTA or Wanamaker.

Should have a higher ceiling than those players.

Look at players like Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson on the Suns. They got two good starters at #10 and #11 in the draft.

After much higher picks like Josh Jackson, Chriss and Bender flopped for them as higher lotto picks.

So the Warriors don't have to get Tier 1 players out of the draft to build up the roster.

Speaking of the Suns, Booker himself was only a #13 pick.

DLo out tonight. Definitely gonna check out Wolves game. I dunno if they'll be better, but with Rubio running the show, they might look better

Watch today how competitive the Twolvs look against New Orleans without Dlo in the lineup. He is the catalist for a teams ineptitude on both sides of the ball. They will lose, but they'll make it tough and compete with Rubio at the point.

DLo is one of their best volume scorers without KAT in the lineup.

It's all about shotmaking and whether those shots fall.

They started out well until KAT had injuries and then now COVID.

That's why it's probably better to get the pick in 2021 than 2022, on the chance that they dig themselves out of the lottery or at least come close to making the playin game, meaning their pick in 2022 could be more in the 10-14 range.

They're resting a 25 year old?

Warriors haven't rested Steph yet.

If not for Bledsoe going crazy late in 2nd q, they would be leading.

Funny, I saw Wolves were ahead and thought - "they'll blow it"... then noticed D'lo not playing. "Uh oh, they might pull this one out".
