Nope.

I blame Nellie not showing some faith sooner. At this point Be Right...Belli...POB feel they are getting their monthly chance to impress enough to play some REAL minutes (well...not POB tonight) and it gets like those high school All Star games.

Belli seems to have found the basket,a nice thing as he'd been cold. Wright...not a great showing but I liked parts of it. Watson>THud.

3 wins, 4 losses over the stetch... I was thinking 4-3, 3-4. Right now Portland is just the better team.

Really needed to bench Jax THE WHOLE F((* game and run Dre + Harrington

JAck would not be playing this bad if he weren't getting buried under impossible defensive matchups. His D fuels his game, when he feels like he's failing on D he loses his cool and everything else goes to crap.

the lineups/rotations and matchups affect everything. This is a very emotional team and when they aren't put in a position to put their best foot forward it compunds the flaws.

I'm not anti "Play Jax at the 4" but you cannot do it when the 4 he's going up against can beat you up inside, outside, and on D. You have no advantage.

Jax WAS FORCED to attack Alderidge on offense because if he didn't, THAT MATCHUP would favor Portland.
But of course, he did force the issue and he sucked at it. Didn't help they were getting pussy calls while bumps were not called the other way (not discrediting Portland).

That was a really tall team... well at least zone worked to an extent that game

I'm get sick and tired of Nellie's smallball BS, just start Al with Biedrins you dumb bastard!

Nellie can't seem to stick with a starting lineup for longer then three games, or is just a coincidence we're getting off to slow starts almost every game for nothing.

Another thing WTF is Russell Turner teaching our young bigs in practice. Biedrins and Wright aren't blocking out at all.

i'm not gonna blame nellie for this. the players are the ones on the court effing it up and this all goes down on them. they play smart and have a fantastic game one night. let their mindset get hella cocky. then suck butt the next night. they aren't even luke warm right now. they know they can blow teams out. they know they can come back from large deficits. but cocky and sloppy is a bad combination. and this hot/cold, jekyl & hyde thing's gotta stop.

Your coach is a moron, but you already know that.
Belinelli is a lights out shooter, at least against us he is and should play more. Also, in a blowout, why is he wasting the #9 pick OBryant away on the bench?
FWIW, you guys have the coolest non-Blazer fans on this site, loved the game thread...best of luck and keep Utah out of the 8th spot.

Reading the last 5 pages of this thread has been hilarious. I would absolutely hate to be stuck in a foxhole with most of you guys.

Nellie brought us to the Playoffs last year, he knows what he's doing.

Quit crying about Nellie you guys, there's no point, you guys are crying now, but when he brings us back in the Post season you guys will be praising him.

He knows what he was doing, just let him be.

Nellie is not a moron....but like many folks who have talent,he can milk his best ideas too far, take it beyond the point that works.

You're right on the rest..there is no sound reason we let 3 rd 1 guys rust on the bench so much. At this point,I guess the W's almost fear O'Bryant will have a great game and make someone look...like a moron.

This may all work out...we are all trying to figure out the process and hope it works-whatever it is. Having Utah-Houston chasing us for #8 is kind of scary. Portland and the Hornets made a nice leap and bow at 55% wins we are still on the edge. Damn East teams have it easy.
