So just like every season he has been with the Warriors?

JK is like a human petri dish with how he has been under a microscope during his Dubs tenure. Every misstep gets overanalyzed and brought up for the remainder of the season while others blow assignments, fall asleep on defense, or miss a wide open Curry and get a pass.

Quite a circle jerk.

The problem is that Kuminga appears to be under the impression that the offense should flow through him. Crazy as it sounds, he thinks he's a #1 option. That's his mindset, despite being four years into his career and having four years of evidence to the contrary.

Who knows ?. Easy to sit in judgement on a forum witout knowledge of what is really going on. It was undoubtedly hard for him to be drafted by an organisation which hadn’t made up its mind what it was doing viz two timelines vs supporting Curry maximally while he was still playing. If the organisation hadn’t actually decided what they were doing how was he supposed to know what his path should be ?. He was always going to be a development project.

I will continue to wish him well both as a GSW player in particular obviously, and if he is traded will continue to do so unless whatever team he is on is playing GSW.

JK wants to be out of here ASAP which is now 01/15. Wasn't this obvious simply by him taking 1+1 contract instead of 2+1
He and his agent at least understood that the Warriors are not dumping him for an offer they don't like and are now saying the right things to repair his image for an eventual trade. Lacob will not allow JK to walk or get any shady value for him just like that, not with the back-to-back disaster pics. He may eventually if not already given up holding on to JK, but he definitely wants equal value benefiting the dubs and saving his image on his disastrous GM job.

Exactly. As I also just posted why blame a
development project for being a development project ?. I was fine with them going win now to support Curry and trading their picks for win now players but they for years went neither one way nor the other which is hardly Kuminga’s fault

Lacob pretty much had him drafted to be a future number 1 option. I would be confused were I him.

This isn't what Kuminga just said though...

Now, he's saying that he doesn't want to be traded during the season. Which has become par for the course for Kuminga and his agent. The entire offseason has seen them both repeatedly giving mixed signals.

This is why they made him waive his no trade clause

1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)

Well, maybe what he wants is what convenient for him. He has to play a year somewhere anyway. Bottom line, I have absolutely no doubts he wants out regardless of anything and if it will be beneficial for the dubs to trade him in the middle of the year, they will absolutely do so. They paid him $15 mil for the option to trade him when they want to.

Paying for that option was worth it. Now let’s bring Wiggins home next year.

Did you read the article? It referenced Kuminga preferring to be traded before the season so he had a full training camp with his new team. It's more about what he preferred before the season.

His agent is an idiot without doubt, as he has demonstrated with other clients. He is however not employed to look after the interests of GSW.

Kuminga was the wrong draft choice and Kerr the wrong coach with the wrong game plan for him or pretty much any development project, and he had bad luck with injury when he was showing out somewhat last season. Since then GSW have recruited Jimmy Butler who is pretty much the best pllayer an athletic non shooter like Kuminga could possibly be and over whom he is not going to start. None of those things were his choice and I am sure absolutely no one anticipated the current circumstances when he was drafted.

He might have been a good draft pick if they are rebuilding in 2 years time when Kerr has retired to rest on the laurels he has rightly earned. As it stands he will have been an NBA player for 6 years by then though.

Criticise him if he doesn’t try in the coming season but he shouldn’t be criticised for being a square peg in a round hole imo.
