This coming from a SUPPOSEDLY real warriors fan........

For some background...this board is the guys who live and die by the team and debated Speedy Claxton as a franchise player many moons ago. We're not the filipino families that buy playoff tickets after hearing we have a basketball team, or the techies who splurge on lower bowl to watch a 'quality basketmatch with the lads.' Why the hell wouldn't we want an easier road to the finals? Isn't that the whole point of getting the #1 seed?

Barking up the wrong tree if you're looking for fake warrior fans. I still remember everyone here's stance on who to take in the Curry draft....

:-) I wanted Brandon Jennings :-)

Me too! He has such a natural feel for the game, and I thought it was very fair to expect him to...
1) Put significant muscle on
2) Iron out his scoring touch to find consistency on O

He ended up maybe even losing weight and embracing his jackass persona. He's actually gotten worse since his rookie season. ****. And before him i was on the Tyreke bandwagon, Curry was the one player I was absolutely not sold on.

Curious, why don't you think the Cavs make it? Their defensive counterparts are atrocious, but I can't see any of their crap Eastern opponents usurping them.

Huge choke by the Jazz. How many free throws did they miss at home in a series-clinching game? Brutal
CP3 wins it for them on Sunday
And we get to watch the Dubs go OFF for 4 games :eyebrows:

Don't care who they play. Warriors are just more talented than the clippers and Utah can't score.

More fun to watch them beat up on the Clippers. The Jazz will slow it down too much. Either way, will be Warriors in 4, maybe 5 if we get the Jazz.

They just seem vulnerable and I think teams will get up for them. Having said that, I do think they are more likely than anyone else to make it. I just see it as still < 50%. In my office pool I went with Boston. No one thinks Boston can beat them due to the beatdown they took @boston, but that's just one game.

Also, now that we know the LAC/UTA series will end tomorrow, and that round 2 game 1 will of course be at GS, we should know the date/time of that game. When is it?

Nevermind, looks like it's Tuesday night.

The Warriors said Saturday that Barnes has been upgraded to probable for Tuesday night's Game 1 and Livingston remains questionable but is hopeful he will be ready to return. Star forward Kevin Durant is expected to be a full go after missing two games and being limited to 20 minutes in Game 4 last round because of a strained left calf.

Beating the Jazz would be perfunctory. But there's always a bit of extra satisfaction—even joy—in putting the beatdown on the Clippers and letting CP3 see that even his elite flopping can only do so much. Love to see Ballmer grimacing and squirming in his front row seat.

Exactly 1 day between all games, that is a great schedule. I hate these 1 game then 4 days off so we can maximize the weekend $$$ type schedules. And all weekday games should be late-ish because either mountain or pacific time zones so we won't need to miss games because we're still at work.

I'd rather the Clippers lose and spend the summer complaining about how the Warriors didn't have to face them. Comic gold.

Anthony Slater was interviewed on NBA TV and he said he thinks the players prefer the Clippers because they'd have off days in LA?

For the same reason, the management may prefer Utah because of the distractions of LA.

In Doc's raspy voice as well.

I already told you guys. Cleveland is melting down this round. Kyrie is such a liability on the perimeter that (as long as Lowry doesn't go in the tank again) guarding both Lowry and Derozan on the perimeter is going to cause some foul trouble. It won't be Lebron in foul trouble, but he is going to have to cover for whoever is. A ton will then have a "only human" 4th quarter in game 2resulting in the series going to Toronto 1-1. Then the recriminations will begin.

Toronto in 6. Then celtics over toronto in 5. We will be playing the Cs in the finals.

As weak as Cleveland's defense is, I just can't bring myself to actually predict a Toronto win. Lowry and Derozen have well earned reputations as playoff chokers.

I think the Wizards should be favored over the Celtic's. Wall and Beal were great in the first round. Thomas was lousy and the rest of the Celtics underperformed also. Celtics will have to play a lot better than they did against the Bulls to win.

Washington defense is shaky though. Wall, Beal, Porter and Bojan will have to hit their outside shots.
