Dillon turned himself into a pretty good POA defender, starting with the 2020-21 play-in games where he guarded Curry.
He's been their primary defender since.
Thing is, I think he got his extension for being something of a shotmaker. I remember him at Oregon he was a big clutch shooter.
His last two seasons his 3-point shooting has been in the low 30s after being in the 35-37% range his first 4 seasons. That is why they extended him off his rookie deal.
His playoffs shooting has really fallen off, taking more 3s and just ending up under 24% in the Lakers series.
Problem may be he got too distracted getting into these personal feuds.
He can certainly shoot a lot better than he has, a career 80% FT shooter.
He needs to get his head right if he wants to continue.
GSW likely won't be interested but if he's only getting vet minimum deals, he wouldn't be the worst option, though I guess there's a risk that he will stir up too much drama and the team may have to cut him in the middle so they need more character guys as well as guys who can produce.
