I think at this point it is safe to say that Giannis to Warriors is a realistic scenario.

It’s happening.

But seriously, you know Steph and the boys are already recruiting him. The question is will Giannis become the “bad guy” and force a move this offseason.

Trade Deadline is the deadline for this team. I doubt we will gut our team for Giannis at the 2021 FA. We won''t even have a competitive roster

lol Also I have mentioned before that Steph and Giannis have the same agent. Remember AD and Bron?

If he is traded in 2020, most probably it will be for the Warriors. If he is not traded then it is very unlikely the Warriors can get him in 2021 FA.

Agreed. But if Giannis passes on the super max, Milwaukee will almost assuredly trade him to the highest bidder, be it before the season or at the trade deadline.

If Giannis tells all other suitors that he will not re-sign with them, Warriors are in the driver's seat. If Bucks act swiftly, they can probably get this year's #2 and the Minny pick. If they wait until the deadline, probably just the Minny pick.

Well. One of those maxes will need to be dealt in any trade for him. If other teams know Giannis is going to walk after one season (or two months of a rental), what would they realistically offer? Probably something along the lines of what the Spurs got from Toronto for Kawhi.

Let's see, the Spurs got DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick. That's better than what the Warriors can offer, probably Wiggins and a pick. So a number of teams can offer a better package than the Warriors. As far as only one season? Well, that's what Toronto did, I don't think their fans are sorry.

Well. I guess we disagree on how great that package was. Is deRozen so much better than Wiggins where a protected pick is better than a #2 and high first in 2021 possible double dip draft? Hmm.

Go ahead and put together a better offer from any team that might be a contender.

If Bucks want a high picks back for Giannis, they'd have to deal with the Knicks, Bulls, Cavs, Charlotte, Warriors.

Which teams would Giannis agree to be traded to?

Interesting....the only thing for certain right now is the Warriors have the #2 pick.

IF the Bucks are thinking of trading Giannis (He has indicated he wants out) then there is no guarantee that the Warriors will draft the player they want....UNLESS they disclose the intentions before the draft.

So essentially the Warriors don't have this years draft pick to trade to the Bucks IF the Bucks wait until later.

If the Warriors are Giannis's choice for destination, it seems like the trade would have to occur before the Draft lottery coming up in a couple of months?

Next year, Warriors will have a player Bucks may not want...and would only have next years and future picks to offer....

As far as Giannis and the teams he’s be open too, all I can come up with are Toronto, because of Masai, and us because of the so called Steph love. (Who isn’t in love with Steph)

Maybe you could throw the Mavs in there, but I don’t see it. Miami either....I don’t see the connection with Jimmy.

It’s Bobs job to speak with the Bucks GM to let him know all of that.

Masai Ujiri's future is as much up in the air as Giannis'.

Toronto Raptors, president Masai Ujiri yet to discuss contract extension

Toronto Raptors president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri, who has one year remaining on his contract, on Thursday said he has yet to enter discussions with team ownership about an extension.

"No, I haven't had discussions, and honestly, coming out of this, things are a little raw," Ujiri said on a conference call with reporters. "I'm going to reflect a little bit, and we will address it when it's time to address it."

Beat me to it. Sort of interesting how someone comparing past trades and what Warriors could offer and omitting next years likely top 7 pick and this years lottery pick when comparing the pick...And if next years is lottery protected...the NEXT year it's not.

BTW....and this may sound extreme but. ANY guard that can't shoot from three point range (except occasionally from the baseline) is a waste of his position offensviely. Sorry. DeMar DeRozan is a waste of what could be a more dynamic guard that can shoot three pointers in a three point shooting league. You can not win a championship if your starting shooting guard has to constantly iso and shoot twos only.
