Jaden McDaniels is a pretty good defender and Minny's offense is WAY better than the Rockets. They have Ant Man who is unstoppable at times plus Naz Reid always gives us trouble. Should be fun but not an easy series. Hopefully Draymond can get in Gobert's head but without the technical fouls.

Lacob should book the Chase center strategically in the dates for Warriors to get 2day rests each game :D

it's not christmas every other game 7 on the road. he's already had a legendary game 7 on the road vs SAC 2 years ago, this time we need a leading performance from playoff jimmy (and a decent game from the role players ofc. if they play as bad as they did in the last 2 games dubs are screwed). also because that zone they couldn't figure out last game it needs to be attacked in the lines between the 3 points line and the middle where adams stays, basically the midrange. those are the "soft" spots you have to exploit. and who' can do that better than jimmy? cannot live and die by the 3, it's a coin toss, it might go your way or backfire on you. butler needs to be aggressive and take over the game from the get go, allowing steph to arrive in the fourth quarte with enough energy to close them out. and we need to give them a taste of their own medicine: turn this game 7 into a dog fight, go all out on defense to keep the game below 100 points even if this means playing looney and TJD at the C spot instead of a guard, slow down the pace and on offense go heavy to jimmy and then steph. it's a game you need to score not necessarily outshoot them from deep. scoring before shooting.

I know Jimmy has had some legendary performances but the rockets are letting Jimmy attack 1v1 and letting him shoot any 3 he wants. If Jimmy can make them pay for that then great. But if Steph goes off all hell breaks loose and then the rockets will panic opening up even more shots for everyone else. No one is going to blame Jimmy if we lose they’re going to blame Steph no matter what the context is even though the entire defense is geared to not let Steph get shots up. Steph needs to be aggressive early and often in this game.

we were both wrong buddy.
how can we forget about buddy hield! :D

Game 7 buddy! Duh!

But to be fair buddy always was our 2nd option before Jimmy. When he was hot to start the season we were rolling. He’s just super inconsistent. We really do need to find a way to get buddy going because when he’s on we’re tough to beat since we then have a 3rd option. Jimmy and Steph will find a way to put up their points.

Hopefully Kerr just gave the guys today off to heal and rest.

Not sorry to see this loser Houston team get sent packing. They play a dangerous brand of ball that crosses over the line from simple intensity. I like Adams, Thompson, and Smith, the rest of them can go to hell.

steph with 10 rodmans (for a team that has been outrebounded all series long), 7 stocktons, 2 steals and 2 blocks, running 2miles and still having the energy in the fourth to put mothers and children to bed. also, this one with 20 points and 1o rebounds was the first and only double-double of any dubs in this first round.
this stuff is incredible, especially if you consider his age. he's the oldest player ever to lead his eam in points, rebounds and assist in a series
a legend still in the making.

All while playing 46 minutes of prison ball against a bunch of hockey goons.

I think it all starts with dillon brooks. the fact that he's thompson's 'vet' and 'took him under his wing' makes me dislike amen much more than his brother. It shows in their play. Amen is better for now; playing this way will be hard to not get cut by the other edge of this double-edge sword. some do more damage to their own teams than the opponent. Dray said it best when talking about brooks: "the dynasty starts after you.."

It was true for Mem, but they f'ed it up. It'll be true for Hou - getting a no 1 option will require moving vanvleet or brooks or both. Getting a winning mentality will require moving brooks. Let's hope they never figure it out and keep him for his 'leadership'

Curry is such a dynamic scorer - and his shot was so off in the first half - I don't think we were appreciating what a great floor game he was having. Ten rebounds! Two turnovers! :onfire:

I'm not really sure how much I would let them travel to Minnesota for game 1. Jimmy, Steph, Dray may need a day and their only day off will be after game 5. maybe they can get there wed for game 2 while we let podz, buddy, moody, jk, and post get comfortable in a series we'll likely need them to contribute heavily.

edit: i'm only 25% joking. Yes, you can't just throw away a game in the playoffs. Playing Steph and Jimmy 40+ mins in a close game 1 after such a quick turnaround may doom them for the rest of the series, even if they get game 1.

He was trying to hit homers with his shot while hitting singles with his passing. If he and dray did that more often, we could have won in 4 or 5.

Warriors were playing Şengün one-on-one, daring him to beat them. Draymond and also some Looney absolutely stoned him. Those 5-7' shots had a big guy right planted vertical right in his airspace, long arm straight up.

Loon looked good yesterday after really struggling in games 1-6, albeit in limited time. We'll need him against the wolves front line. Dray was a monster all series (except 5-6) though sengun has struggled on those outside the restricted area shots all season.

Plus Hield made the shot. After that, Hield was running back on defense. The impact of Butler riding him? At least Hield is trying on defense, especially in a game where he played his season high in minutes.
