Re: Trade Thread (EPISODE VII: Which team wants our bad players for their good players?)
Zion's contract could be a massive bargain if he turns it around...IF.
$34M, $39, $42, and $44m in '27-'28 season.
If Draymond is out for extended period of time the Warriors cank 100% tank with Steph out there solo dolo. Huge risk i know, but does anyone think a change of scenery can help Zion?
Not too many disgruntled superstars out there.

Does Zion even like basketball?
He may do, but he doesn't like it enough to commit himself to being the most professional athlete he can be, and that's the risk. I don't think the Warriors front office take the chance on such an undisciplined athlete that could blow out a knee or back at anytime due to his lack of care in his huge explosive body.

his contract is reasonable and he fits the heat culture. btw its not for him, its for JK. Do you think heat will get a better deal elsewhere?
Two years ago he punched a teammate, last season he was suspended and this year he is breaking down. He has 2 1/2 years remaining on his contract....not sure how reasonable that is.
2 years at 25M is not bad, he can play small 5 and can contribute to winning , someone will take a gamble

I don't think so and i've personally been staying away from Zion trade talks....BUT his salary is not awful for a superstar. If i were the GM trading for him i would buy low as hell and not give up any first round picks. I'd want to know his true desire. Is he more Shawn Kemp or AD? Kemp got fat and never was himself. AD just needed a new home and was still himself. i know...different types of players, but that is what i think about.

If drays body is breaking down, I'm not sure there's a market for him. Maybe the lakers and that's about it.

Dray breaking down is exactly what happens when you refuse to trade a guy or hold on too long. Let's hope he's got some more miles on him because nobody's taking him.

I'm scared Zion turns into Sean May.

Lots of minutes for Moody three games in a row. Must be trying to inflate trade value.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Koc suggested trading dray to det or dal. Talking about firsts or even multiple. Like what? Yes please.

LOL, Like any team would give up a first for Dray.....I want some of what KOC is smoking.
I would take just getting him off the roster if they can find a team silly enough to want him.

Teams that recognize and need Draymond's talent - any VET team (other than Suns) in the top 10 needing to get over the top. That includes Lakers, Bucks, Denver, Dallas, Clippers, Cavs, OKC.
Say what you want about the guy (I'm pretty sick of him lol), he IS a clutch winner and any of the above teams that lands him get an immediate edge on everyone else.

I could see a team desperate for making that leap like Dallas bite (especially now with Lively down). But a first definitely feels like a stretch
If we can swap Dray for 2nd round picks that would be a dream

I can see both Jokic and Giannis straight up punching Dray in the face after a game that he gets tossed for doing something stupid in, after 1 week of being on their teams. It would be comedy gold.

This is the most minutes Moody has played in a four game stretch in his career. They must be trying to pump up his trade value.

Looney + Waters for Valanciunas
Wiggins & Schroder for CJ McCollum & Matkovic
(throw in picks as needed)
PG - Curry
SG - CJ
SF - Kuminga
PF - Draymond
C - Valanciunas
that's a strong, balanced, and vet starting 5
#2 option for Curry + low post threat

Lol, who plays defense? Steph might be the second best defender in that starting line up.
And you want to throw in picks to downgrade from wiggins to CJ?

There's a lot of injuries which is opening up playing time for him. Our 3 normal pfs are all hurt

Thoughts on Kelly Olynyk? May not have to part with much and is a stretch big.

I'd rather go for Vooch at $20m. Warriors just need another guy who can get a bucket at this point.

Hindsight:
Warriors probably had a shot at Lavine for CP3 and fillers last season. I wasn't high on Lavine, but now looking like it would have been a STEAL.
