We need both, but Warriors should prioritize a C more than a SG. Haven't had a competent center since... Zaza? Haven't had a good center since Bogut.

I wonder if there's any kind of package GS can put together to entice POR to trade Deni Avdija. IMO adding Deni to the current roster makes GS an instant tier 1 contender. He collapses defenses like very few players in the NBA, and gets buckets/FTs/And1s or gets WIDE OPEN shots for teammates. With Steph and Buddy receiving those passes rather than Scoot Henderson or Shaedon Sharpe, GS would be nearly unguardable. Oh, and he is also a very good defender who can guard 1-5. However, he is POR's best player right now and his stock is very high so it would take a lot to pry him out of there, but if Kuminga plus a trove of picks/swaps gets it done, I think it would be worth it.

I would love Deni on the Dubs, however there is no way he is getting traded. Like you said, he’s their best player and he’s only 24… and on top of that he may have the best contract in the entire league.

Totally agree with the idea of Kuminga and a bunch of picks though…. if somehow Portland wanted that, it’s a deal i’d have no problem sending future picks in.

I'd love to have Deni but he seems to overlap with Jimmy, so he's probably worth more to Portland than what we could offer. I'd send out 2 1sts (26 + 28), it's not the best fit and not the best use of our assets, but I've liked Deni since his draft. But this wouldn't be my ideal trade

Hard pass for POR; those offers are less than we paid to get him and he has exceeded expectations.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect POR to give him up for a couple of FRPs, but I honestly think he would be a perfect fit for GS and it would be worth it to offer JK and 3-4 FRPs for him. I don't think I agree with Onus that Deni overlaps with Jimmy. Deni is a transition beast, and in the half court attacks using his unreal combination of speed, size and strength to break down defenses. There's a reason his nickname is Turbo, which would fit really well with Kerr's system. Jimmy is great but I think the only thing in common between him and Deni is that they both get to the line a lot (which would be great for GS and allow Steph to catch his breath more frequently). Completely different players otherwise.

Deni would be a great addition to GSW but GSW doesn’t have anything POR wants.

Yeah obviously if I'm POR I hold onto Deni at almost any cost, but if we learned anything from the Luka trade (aside from the fact that DAL is run by a bunch of morons) is that everyone has a price. Don't you think there's some kind of godfather offer that GSW could make centered around JK, picks, and maybe taking back one of POR's bad contracts that would be worthwhile for both teams?

Don’t consider JK an asset. POR better off building through the draft or maybe trade him to an asset rich team like OKC that might look to consolidate talent.

Jimmy and Deni are really both 4s. They both thrive with the ball in their hands to get downhill and bully their matchups in the paint and kick out to shooters. Neither really shoots all that well. With Draymond that's 3 players that teams will just dare to shoot 3s and pack the paint against. It's not terrible, but it's not really optimal either. Now we really take the ball out of Steph's hands and make him a spacer to allow jimmy and deni to get down hill.

In any case Deni would cost too much.

Yawn....PLEASE Giannis demand out to the Warriors.
Warriors trade re-signed Kuminga, Draymond, three first round picks for Giannis.

Giannis will be asking for trade after MIL free agency. The same team only w/o Lillard and Lopez.

Portis
Giannis
Kuzma
Trent
Porter JR

This is max play-in team. W/o Giannis were is no BBIQ left on the floor.

If you can expand it so we don't get Lebron, and we end up with a top C, great.
