If you trade for Marion, it's as a backup SF/PF... I dont think you want him starting, or at least getting starter minutes, night to night.

But we already have Dancing Bear in that role... so really, there's no reason to make a move for Marion. Only Mavs I'm interested in are Mayo, Dirk, and BW

Can we somehow throw the vet min at Dunleavy? Could handle the ball a bit, initiate the offense, shoot some threes, sip some wine, throw his shirt into the stands...

I don't know if Dunleavy is the answer but the front office definitely has to take a step back and look at Jack and Klay, and specifically whether or not they're a good compliment to Curry. At reasonable contracts, they're obviously both nice players to have but if this team is going to contend at some point, there needs to be another guy on the team with great handles and athleticism that you can play Curry off of, and that can get the ball across the freaking midway line.

If the Mavs strike out again in free agency, they may move Dirk. Dirk wasn't happy with the talent that surrounded him in Dallas. I don't know if Cuban would trade Dirk, but I do know they are absolutely fed up with Mayo.

I don't think we are good trade partners, but a package centered around Lee and Barnes, with fillers, for Dirk, Mayo and or Marion/BW, would be of interest to me. Don't think Dallas bites, but we do have a lot of assets to dangle, as long as it doesn't get to expensive.

Magic fan here...

Hedo + Al Harrington for Biedrins + R. Jeff + unprotected 1st in 2014.

Why for Magic?
We get an unprotected 1st round pick in 2014.

Why for Warriors?
They waive both players and save 10M this way (both contracts are 50% guaranteed).

All the contracts expire in 2014 offseason.

Eh I wouldn't want to give up a pick to get one year less of a contract. The Spurs did that with us, but got Stephen Jackson who they actually wanted. 2014 pick for us may not be high, but could be a valuable asset if possible other packages.

From what I have seen Hedo is a Player Option for next season and Al is good through 2015... Nothing I see is that they are 50% for next season

I messed on Al Harrington final year, you are right, it ends in 2014-15, but both contracts are 50% guaranteed in all years remaining.

If we're looking to save money quick, waive Brandon Rush. Saves 2.7m in cap.

Rush has a Player Option at 4Mi for next season, right? How would you save money by waiving him?

Evidently 2014 is supposed to be a stacked draft (haven't been following prospects since we started winning), so I'd like to hang on to a pick there.

Keep RJ and let him expire
Keep Biedrins and let him expire
Trade Lee for an expiring deal and a pick
Then we can sign Bosh as an FA in 2014

Haven't you heard of your fellow countryman Deandre Wiggins? He's supposed to be the next big thing.

Yeah there's some supposed allstar/ possible spuerstar talent in Wiggins/Randle/Randle and the Harrison twins. Usually when that's the case you can get guys who are still rotational players late which is why we should be wise about that 2014 pick. Even it looks to be in the 20s it could still be valuable to us or as part of a package.

Depressed Sixers fan about to jump ship on this organization soon. You guys got a pretty nice core
I was just thinking to myself some trades to put u guys over the top. Dont crucify me like I said I don't get to watch to many of your games

Klay Thompson, Biendris for Zach Randolph and Jerryd Bayless..you guys get a stud big man an upgrade over Lee, Bayless can replace Jack if he leaves in FA. Memphis does this in a heartbeat, have already rumored to be moving Randolph because of salary issues.

You can then Flip David Lee for a guard. Maybe to Bobcats in sign an trade for Gerald Henderson and Ben Gordon

Thoughts? hate it? like it? Am i an idiot? Am I a genius?

Well, that's the reason we want the unprotected 2014 pick, if it wasnt valuable we wouldnt spend 7/10 millions to get it :)

Keep in mind you would save 10 mi on cap space plus 10 mi on luxury tax, that's a lot of money.

Stretch provision, friend :D

It adds 2 years to the life of the original contract (1 + 2 yrs) meaning he would count as 1.33m of dead money the next 3 years. Its a good little move to have in our back pocket.

People are complaining about David Lee's 3 years remaining at 14.5 per, at age 30. I can't imagine what they'd think of Zach Randolph and his 2 years at 17m per, at age 33 starting next year.

Bayless I hate, btw. Not a fan of either Bobcats guard either. Would rather stay put than any of those moves..
