For some reason, they're managing the news. Maybe trying to limit the Greg Oden/Sam Bowie comparisons. He hasn't played all year, and he still isn't playing. He still isn't even full-contact practicing. Again, he played soft last year when he did play. Look at how cut Giannis was tonight. 2 time MVP, Finals MVP. Wiseman could be a beast if he wants to be. Thus far, he doesn't look like he wants it that much, at least to me. Hopefully I'm reading this wrong.

he is learning Mandarin fast though that gotta be a big plus for his future!

Derrick Rose had a meniscus repair and sat out 1 year.
Then he came back and the repaired meniscus teared again and he had a normal meniscus surgery.
He came back after 1.5 month.
So 1 year out for nothing.
I hope Wiseman is not the same case and sat out 1 year in order to end up with a meniscus removal

That’s exactly what it sounds like. Usually what arthroscopic procedures are for, to go in and clean the knee. Likely that his meniscus wasn’t healing, hence the swelling and why they likely just said it’s gotta go.

Tough start for the kid. He’s missed essentially 2 nba years and 1 college year. 3 good development years. He was already so far behind and he’s gonna be even more behind now. On top of that, 2 years of rookie controlled contract wasted from a top pick. A contract you could’ve gotten a high level contributor out of, or at least someone that can get on the court. Wiseman has basically been no use to this team for 2 years of his 4 year contract. This pick is going to continue to look worse and worse. What a whiff man

You're reading it wrong. Out of sight, out of mind is becoming the norm for Jimmy's situation right now. Just because he's had to sit out with an injury, doesn't mean he doesn't care anymore. It's likely making him hungrier.

Joe lacob made this pick over lamelo and he prob want to keep this under wrap to not embarrass himself. He was so proud of the wiseman pick last summer. Wiseman looks more like Sam Bowie now if he can even be healthy ever

Did you not read his interview in The Athletic by Slater last year? Everyone knows Wiseman was Lacob's pick.

I mean not saying Lacob had LaMelo at 18 though...

“To be honest with you, he was my No. 1 forever, basically,” Lacob told The Athletic's Tim Kawakami. “I just think he’s a once-in-a-decade kind of guy. I would argue that, other than (Joel) Embiid, I don’t know that there’s another center prospect that’s come along in the last decade that you would put in the same category. Different players, maybe. But this guy is immensely talented."

Explain it away.

Not "team" Clyde. Joe Lacob said Wiseman was his #1 "forever". He called him a "once in a decade" prospect. You asked for the quote buddy. There it is. Now you're backtracking. Not surprised.

Do you seriously think if Joe Lacob wanted LaMelo he wouldn't be a Warrior right now? Lacob has always wanted a "franchise center" since he sent Monta off.

It amazes me people still think Bob Myers is calling all the shots.

you said Wiseman was Lacob's pick, not Myer's.

you think Lacob saying, post draft, that his favorite was Wiseman, the guy they picked, is proof of that?

unless there is actual evidence otherwise, yes, i think the Bob Myers, THE PRESIDENT OF BBALL OPERATIONS AND GENERAL MANAGER, is calling the vast, if not all, personnel shots.

Everyone at this point knows we aren't trading Wiseman or Kuminga because they are Lacob's guys. Myers couldn't care less.

i mean i don't care either way, but if you have proof that Lacob's running the show and Myers is just a puppet, prove it. otherwise don't pretend like it's something everyone should assume or know.

Wiseman and Kuminga are not in the same conversation though. that is like saying trading Lee or Curry....i think nobody wants to trade JK..and nobody wants Wiseman

I literally just gave you "proof". You can choose to do with it what you want. You can choose to think that Joe Lacob is lying when he tells us "James Wiseman was my #1 forever". That is you accusing Joe Lacob of lying. You get that right? With absolutely no proof of why he would lie about such a thing. WHERE'S YOUR PROOF? Goes both ways, buddy.
