Why would Giannis want to go to the Warriors given Klay’s situation?

Curry turning 33 in a few months combined with Klay tearing his ACL and Achilles(likely never to be the same player again).

Giannis is about to be 26. I think he would want to join a team with guys of a similar age so that he has a decent sized window to make a run. Mavs, Heat, ect.

Kawhi, on the other hand, I would monitor. If the Clippers have another disappointing year, I think he seriously considers opting out after the season.

Only the team that drafted him or traded for his rookie contract is able to offer the supermax.

They do not have the same agent. Adebayo and Giannis, however, do.

james just won a title at 35 and according to many the lakers will be favourite even next season when he's turning 36.
I don't understand why steph turning 33 is a problem now.
He can still lead the team to a title for the next 3-4 seasons.
the times they are a-changin', nowadays it's not uncommon for players to go into their mid thirties-late thirties still in great shape. look even at brady in football or ibrahimovic in soccer.

James is either on something or has the best genetics ever. I think it’s probably a combination of both.

Reading the Tea leaves.

Giannis wanted Bogs...didn't get him. Jrue enough to make him a believer when Hardaway will likely join Nets and Miami is already better than Bucks?

Bam waiting on extension apparently in order to give Miami room to sign Giannis. Now Bam signs extension. They both have the same agent...Bam and Giannis. So that feels like a signal to Miami that he ain't going there.

Lakers, Mavs and Warriors perhaps?

LeBron will be 36. AD and Giannis don't make sense at all. Swapped...maybe...but not playing together. So no to Lakers IMO.
Mavs are a real possibility. However it looks like the Unicorn is on three legs.

Lacob spent 80 million dollars just to land Oubre? Really? Maybe....but if you knew you needed that 14 Million dollar salary to add to a possible monster trade for Giannis...maybe THAT's why you spend 80 Million?

I don't think you can underestimate the relationship with Curry and Giannis. And with Klay being out....it wouldn't look like Giannis joining a sure thing...it will look like he's coming to the rescue.

So you heard it here first. Bucks send Giannis to Warriors for everything other than Curry, Dray and Wiggins (and Klay of course)

And if he doesn't sign? How do you get the high picks and assets back? :)

Wiseman (#2) pick, Next years top 10 (Wolves are going to suck), Warriors 2021 (if above 20) pick, Paschall, Oubre. This is a great way to re-start your franchise.

You left out Wiggins :) ... and Paschall and Oubre to re-start your franchise ... LOL. Would you want to take the players and picks you mentioned for Curry? Look at what the LAL gave up for AD? If any teams want Giannis, AD's deal is a starting bid.

Oh...and I'm leaving out Wiggins cause I'm thinking that's a negative asset in a restart. Hey if they ask for it...I'll include him. But I would rather the Warriors kept Wiggins (crazy I know)>

I'm sure the Bucks don't want Wiggins, but Wiggins or Dray or Klay needs to be part of the trade to match up the $$. Second, you can't have 5 max players on a same team. And now, Klay is not a same Klay that we used to have. We have no one of the roster that people want except for Wiseman and Dray. Curry is untouchable for one more year. Boy, I hope Wiseman will turn out to be a good player....right now, it's 50/50

Where would he go?

It came out that he flies in from San Diego for games and has been late, which causes resentment by other players.

It feels like the NBA is collectively waiting on Giannis to announce either signing the supermax or that he wants out.....no FA signings...quiet...NBA training camp opening in a few days...

Boy...if for some reasons, Giannis ends up with the Lakers. That's what we call lightyear planning. They will rule the NBA for many many years.

Brought to you by Nike. But no they wouldn't rule the NBA; it would be Heatles redux.

Giannis would leave $75 million on the table if he doesn’t sign the super max with the Bucks, $228 million vs. $145 million.

Seems like he’d sign it and then maybe demand a trade. In that case, no chance for the Warriors to fit such a huge number.

We're not getting Giannis. The thought doesn't even enter my mind, so it's hard for me to understand why others even discuss it.

No brainer for Giannis really. Just sign and take the 75 mil extra cash...

Can always demand a trade later.

If Giannis doesn't want to stay with Milwaukee they will be happy to get something for him so the Warriors have a chance, like other teams. Wiggins, Oubre, Pascall and Minnesota's lottery pick would be the package. Draymond or Giannis would be SF though.

The Warriors absolutely CAN fit that huge number, I seriously doubt they do because it would hard cap them with around 12 active players on the roster.

Can't be traded for a year if he signs the supermax.

Yes, but he didn't put a time window on the trade so Giannis CAN sign the supermax and be traded, just not this season. It gives the current team the power which was it's intent for sure.
