You wouldn't make a good lawyer. Even Lionel Hutz could find some grounds to sue Draymond and/or the Warriors org centered around assault and negligence.

bruh what is this pursue charges talk? yall want to get Poole laughed out of the league? if Poole pursues charges because he got socked in the face, rightfully or wrongfully, he's gonna get side eyed by everyone in the league for the rest of his career.

wake the f up. this needs to be handled internally and internally only. im actually shocked that so many people here actually think this is a possibility. maybe for people living behind white picket fences and in gates communities, but it'll never be allowed with these guys and rightfully so.

plus, SF doesn't even prosecute literal criminals all over the streets of the city, you want them to prosecute Dray?

Of course I don’t want Jordan to do anything, and he won’t.

The report is purely speculation and provides absolutely no clarity on what happened.

I think we need to trade Draymond. It's time to rip the band aid off and now we have a real excuse to do it. This could be one of the reasons that they are making him stay away for a while.

Draymond will leave when and only when Draymond wants to leave. Not before. Apparently, he wants to be a Laker.

I can tell you right now that Draymond Green is expecting this to be his last year in Golden State. Now, he wanna be a Laker. He ain’t gonna tell anybody that, but don’t think I don’t know. He’d prefer to be a Laker if he gotta leave Golden State.

The Warriors are good because of their defense, and the Warriors defense is middling without Draymond. Bob Myers certainly doesn't want Draymond to go anywhere.

Regarding the fight - whatever. Fights happen. Where I grew up if you talked smack to an older / bigger guy you were gonna get popped. Doesn't make it right but also let's not make it bigger than what it is.

You know the thread has reached its apex when reports made by Stephen A. Smith are pushed like they are the absolute, unquestionable truth.

Did anybody else find it a little conspicuous that they gave JP an award pregame for leading the league in FT%? They had Steph present it, too. I've never heard of anything like that before.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Words were exchanged, coaches could see the beef brewing, Draymond went up on Poole, Poole pushed Draymond, Draymond punched Poole. It's not like Draymond snuck up and sucker-punched Poole from behind. Poole got whooped, but fight is exactly the right word.

I blame Draymond for escalating. I don't blame Poole. But if Draymond ran up into my face I can tell you I would not try to push him unless I wanted to get my ass whooped.

I would be willing to bet some money that by Christmas time (or likely even Thanksgiving) nobody will be talking about this and both Draymond and Jordan will be playing together without controversy.

Twenty-five pages of conversation shows more about how non-controversial the Warriors have been this off-season than about the importance of this particular event, IMO. No, of course Draymond shouldn't have swung at him, but it's not exactly Kermit Washington/Rudy Tomjanovich.

So safe to assume, "step away from the team" is internal code for suspension.

I can't believe people have this view of it. You'd just stand there and let Draymond walk right into you and spit venom in your face? Because that's what was happening there. I don't just mean Poole's "personal space", the imaginary comfort zone around you. He was IN Poole's physical space. Maybe he's going to bit off your ear or something? Any reasonable person would push back on that. You HAVE to.

I wish Lakers use up all their cap space and sign Dray next year!

Dray is very close to a Ben Wallace situation with father time. Lakers can have him when he is done. And screw up their salary cap. Hahaha.

Some of us feel attached to Draymond.

Draymond has his flaws but I still like him as a person and more as a bakeball player.
After Watching Warriors since 1990 (Celtics before that) I can never end the love I feel for Draymond since 2015.
And I like Draymond saying whatever comes to his mind. I like Draymond's videos. He is my second favorite NBA player turned media guy after Barkley and Barkley has gotten a bit stale so for the momment Draymond is the best of the NBA player media talkers that I am aware of.

This right here. If someone is bodying you right up the instinctive reaction I'd argue is to push them away. Maybe if you grew up in certain areas you'd know the danger and have trained yourself not to react in such a way but I give zero excuse to the one getting that close no matter where it is and why I find it very hard to just ignore what Draymond did. Criticizing Poole for that little push he gave is tantamount to blaming the victim.
