Laker game is depressing me. I dislike Houston as much as I dislike the Clippers.

Think I need to take the Lakers off my League Pass team list.
In 1971, the team moved across the Bay Area to Oakland, and changed its geographic name to Golden State to symbolize the team as representative of the entire state of California

Duncan looked in great shape and as good as ever. Ginobili being his usual self hitting some remarkable shots. And on top of that, they have some new pickups which make them better (depthwise) than they were last year. Only won by 1 point but that was without Leonard and Splitter. Very impressive.

I agree with what you're saying about the Spurs (and Mavericks, for what it's worth). But your comment about them (Spurs) having new pickups confuses me. I think the only new player on their roster this year is their draft pick Anderson, and I don't think he played. Who are you referring to?

yeah isn't Anderson the only new addition....the guy I wanted in the draft with Payne.... And you're right he didn't play tonight.

He will be good though and he fits right in with what they wanna do as a willing and good passer. Good rebounder too. Had a nice preseason.

Davis and Asik beasting tonight. That's a big front two guys.

We should trade them Barnes for Tyreke Evans.

The Harden love from the refs was nauseating.

Besides Anderson (who is supposedly pretty good), Cory Joseph, Aron Baynes (guess he was with them last year but didn't play much) and Jeff Ayres. I was probably thinking of Daniels, Black and Papanikalao, Daniels and Black on the Rockets who looked very good against the Lakers tonight. Lakers look pretty sad.

And the Pelicans are going to be difficult this year too. I realize it was against Orlando if it's any indication Davis with 26, 17 boards and 9 blocks (playing PF his more natural position), Asik 7-10, also 17 boards and Anderson with 22 and 9 boards (appears he may be fully recovered from his injuries). Man, our Conference is going to be tough.

Dang Harden. 32 points on 15 made FTs. He must be donating part of his paycheck to the officials.

turk, the 3 guys you mentioned (Joseph, Baynes, and Ayres) were all with San Antonio last year. They probably got more time in yesterday's game because of the injuries to Splitter, Leonard, and Mills, but none of them is new to the Spurs (all 3 of them played over 50 games with them last year).....

OKC loses to Portland by 17 despite Westbrooks 38. Could this be the start of the demise of the Thunder minus Durant?

Lakers 0-2. Fanboys at JeremyLin.net officially on suicide watch. You think they hated Harden and McHale... Kobe and McMillan is going to blow them away.

Why not? I'm not sure what the line is for that game, but I'd put the halftime line at 15 points. Cleveland probably will put in their scrubs in the 4th quarter, so it might end up less than a 20-point game, but I can't see it being remotely close......

Cavs feeding off the energy but acting a little too show-boat-ish too early on

Cleveland looks disjointed.....seems like it's gonna take a while for them to mesh. Nothing happens overnight.

Wow...... I really blew this one. I didn't see the game, but would have never expected the outcome to be what it was.
