And btw...Warrior fans would probably turn on Durant big time...If we think they moaned about Monta being traded....

Like I said KD is free to do whatever he wants to do..
If KD is leaving we will suffer for sure because of the depth..Our core is till solid..we are still a strong contender just not as dominant. The most important thing is to win this year , and I hope everyone on the team understands it.

I would hate to see him leave but watching how he is playing and assuming we win his year he has earned every right to leave and not have any true bad feelings cause all he did was win while here.

Why they turn? Helped win 2 chips, possibly 3. There will be zero mercy and if Warriors lose, I won't support him in another team. But there is no reason for fans to hate him.

Which is exactly why KD resigning is a lot greater chance then people expect. KD can be reasoned with. Safe to say if Kyrie does run back to Brons bosom, KD has better chance of resigning.

KD is going to stay. He’s going to stay because playing with Steph Curry is a blessing and a privilege and now that the crucible of the playoffs has purged all the petty toxins out of the room he will see that he had a better opportunity here at all the things he really cares about than anywhere else...true, genuine, respectful, supportive and symbiotic partnership with a basketball equal and potentially lifelong friends in Curry, Klay and Dray. They worked out a lot of crap this season and when KD gets back on the floor after how these guys gutted it out to not waste his brilliant playoff start, he knows that no one else in the basketball world could be depended on like the teammates he has here. KD may be insecure and sometimes even trifling, but he’s not stupid. When he measures all of the factors at play, he will see that this is the best situation in the NBA on all fronts.
Boogie is coming back too.

I want someone else other than Boogie.. a center that can defend off the ball and isn't looking to shoot too many shots if KD stays. There are way, way too many cooks in the kitchen with Boogie on this team. You need workers, not shooters in the starting lineup.
As for KD, if I'm him I stay here for life. Gets called undisputed best player in the world when his teammate beat him and was more successful than him prior to his move, and changes his game to hurt himself to make KD look good.. on top of him being the one who gets the double teams. It's like being in a group project with a genius, but you get the the accolades. Doesn't make sense at all for him to leave. Saying that, KD's such a weirdo I have no idea what he's going to do. I feel like he was 100% leaving earlier this season but who knows now. Kyrie to Lakers rumors suggest KD stays (or joins Clippers with Kawhi).

Boogie is coming back too.
So in a somewhat recent interview, and I can't remember where to find it, KD stated that he came to Golden State, (quote), "to become a better basketball player"
I have stayed that KD will stay with the Dubs if his decision is about basketball. He will leave if it's about something else. Simple as that.
I'm with you that if he reflects honestly about this team and being the best basketball player he can be, then there really isn't another choice. Teammates, ownership, coaching, money, new arena, nowhere else tops staying.

Also....if KD signs a long term deal, then it will change Warrior fans perception, and the ones on the fence should embrace his commitment.

Zero chance Kyrie wants to play with Lebron again. He is Knicks bound.
My biggest question about Durant...why risk playing with a guy so toxic as Kyrie? Terry Rozier was on Get Up and First Take this morning. He wants nothing to do with playing with Kyrie again.
IMO, Durant will regret playing w Kyrie if he joins him.

Durant is close with Kyrie friendship wise but his iso ball dominant style will clash with KD. Curry could play on and off ball without and issues. Kyrie can't stand off ball even with Bron. He doesn't have the patience. It will take longer for that chemistry to work. KD will regret not having a core of unselfish teammates anymore.

As far as centers go, Boogie is big. Granted, that is what makes it difficult for him to defend quicker players on the PnR but also gives him the ability to bang bodies with a Adams, Gasol, Jokic, etc. Smaller guys like Looney are better defending on the perimeter but get pushed around underneath. But I do agree that we need someone who is not ball-dominant if KD stays.
One of the things KD said earlier this year (I know, I know, KD says a lot of contradictory stuff) was that he wanted to go wherever he can make the most money since he left money on the table in his past negotiations to help the team sign other players. Well since the Dubs have his Bird rights, he can make the most by staying here. But maybe money isn't the most important thing to him anymore.

He will make more if he goes to NY though, and I don't think it will be close. He will instantly be the biggest star in the East, and whatever business he makes there will bloom brightly.

Couldn’t agree more. And if Durant thought Draymond was salty after one loss, get ready for a constant lockeroom sourpuss. I don’t care how good friends you are off the court, it’s a completely different relationship working with someone. Durant was good friends w Westbrook...and still left him...to surround himself with unselfish teammates and “unlock parts of his game” (his words in the McCollum podcast) he’s rarely done such as screening and assisting. So why join forces with a known selfish miserable teammate who runs from being a leader?
Can Durant win a title with Kyrie being the only other all-star? I don’t see it. Like you said, chemistry takes time, normally a minimum of 2 years. And since no one can stand to play alongside Kyrie more than 2 years, they’d have to strike gold in Year 2. Can Durant win one with Kyrie and Anthony Davis? Abso-frickin-lutely. So how would that be more satisfying than winning more titles with known unselfish teammates? Doing it with different teammates? How’d that work out in OKC with two future MVPs? Doing it in the spotlight of NYC so you can be glorified by more people? Durant’s chief motive isn’t more fan glory. It’s the continued improvement of his game. That’s why he came to GS. So why leave?

Absolutley nailed it. Kyrie would go for stretches and I mean months without talking to teammates when he was with the Cavs . He is a moody guy. Durant is a student of the game and he knows playing with GS is his top tier situation. He has room to develop as a defender and passer on GS. Durant is basically letting the opinions of those who despise him control his actions. The man said he is about basketball and money as his priorities. He is known now as the best player in the game in GS. If he stays and keeps winning he will make any hater or argument against him seem downright silly. This man gets to 4 fmvps and more, it forces everyone to acknowledge him as the best and more. Going to Knicks and trying to win for people who will never give him credit makes no sense. KD worries so much about haters opinions, it is sad that he doesnt realize if he did win a ring with Knicks, those same haters would give more credit to Kyrie and AD then him. Hell, if he doesnt win in NY those same haters will say he was a fool to leave GS. At the end of the day, I think if he sits down with the core 3 of GS and discusses his next move, he can be swayed to stay.

Re: Sure sounds like KD is leaving
I agree playing with only Kyrie wouldn't set yourself up to be a true contender. Then if you are also with Anthony Davis an argument can be made he didn't win it for New York on his "own". He did it with Kyrie and AD.
So stay with the better organization and better teammates and keep winning championships. Cowherd actually says it best with his comparison to Durant leaving and him going to a different company. Better pay? No. Better Company? Nope. Then why leave?
I so badly want to see Durant piss everyone off during the post game press conference after winning the title and say three words and walk out..." I am staying "
