Myers said he left it up to the players. The players want him back.

Surprised Myers didn't let the RealGM posters weigh in. Really amateurish on his part

I'm fine with this. How anyone outside that lockerroom feels doesnt matter.

If poole wanted dray suspended, I think he would have.

I doubt Poole would be thinking in terms of "do I want Draymond suspended". It's more a "do I want to play with this guy or not" type thing. And I'm guessing even if he doesn't want to play with him, there was a degree of peer pressure to be gracious about it.

Warrior haters hate this decision which tell me to like it. But, lets face it, Dray should be on a very very short leash this year.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Dray knows he's on a short leash now. He got a week vacation for falcon sucker punching a teammate 40lbs lighter and 10 years younger in training because he said mean stuff. This will definitely show Draymond to stay in line now!

Worthless correlation. Team could win by suspending Draymond or not suspending him, the same could also be true in the opposite scenario. This is classic examples of if someone wins, everything they did is correct.

He should have been suspended before the release of the video. They tried to brush it under the rug and the rug got pulled from under them with that video leak.
At the end of the day though, all that matters is how JP feels. If he's ok to move forward, then who are any of us to disagree?

When (not if) we get another chip, this will just be a nice storyline of overcoming adversity that documentary makers will use. When we win another chip, this will be another testament to Steph Curry's leadership and enhance his legacy.

I'm ready for the season to start , none of this should matter anymore.

The season is ready to start. The whole roster appears to be healthy. The Warriors had the best preseason game in recent memory yesterday. There is so much to look forward to...and yet some folks still want to linger on the past. Seriously, what gives?

I really don't care if he was suspended. If the team (notably Poole) is okay with it, I'm okay with it.

What I *do* think would be good is if he got some help. Even at this stage of his career he can't control his emotions, and it periodically hurts him, his teammates, or the team. That whole documentary "The Sessions" with Draymond was cute, but hard to see that it really reflected any growth or change. I'd like it if there was an after school special moment where Poole said, "Look, I was being a bit of a jerk. And I shouldn't have shoved you. But dude. You seriously punched me. Your teammate. I can try to put this behind us, but I'm worried about you. Get some help. Learn how to manage those emotions."

again, you have no idea if Jordan is actually okay with it or not. he could be saying all the right things just to seem like the bigger man or doesn't want to seem like a bitch if he asks for Dray to be punished in front of his teammates.

the people with the levers of power have to actually draw a line themselves. that shouldn't be up to Poole. because Poole, or any other man, will not run to Myers/Kerr in that scenario to get Dray suspended. he'll just pretend everything is good because that's the code.

I gotta say, the meltdown from all the anti-Warriors crowd on the General Board is hilarious. Some of the biggest whiney Warrior haters have their panties in a bunch and I'm getting a high level of entertainment.

---
Separately, I echo what CPH is saying above. I care about what the victim, Poole, thinks and what the team thinks most. Dragging this out with a long suspension that includes questions every game etc. and punishes the team/Poole doesn't seem to be what Poole/the team want and I'm fine with that.

I also hope someone has reached Draymond and convinced him to seek some counseling on better ways to handle his emotions. It's not just this incident, you could see at times in the Finals that his emotions got the best of him.

If Draymond can control his emotions better he can be the guy that triggers the other team without piling up techs and making dumb swings at teammates. That's the only way he can stay here for the rest of his career. It seems unlikely at this point, but it absolutely is possible.

Draymond has one foot planted in the Warriors organization and the other foot planted in an echo chamber populated by family, crew, managers, agents, podcast fans and various sycophants who do nothing but carry his water. What you witnessed last week was the echo chamber absorbing Draymond a little more into it, much to the detriment of Draymond's Warrior identity. The Warriors organization all came to the defense of Poole. Meanwhile, Draymond's echo chamber, including his own mother, all embraced his behavior as "normal" and even "warranted." One could make a strong argument that the punch was a long time in coming, merely the end result of so many inner circle whispers Draymond was more than willing to listen to. Nothing the rest of us think or say matters. Remember, Draymond's "not a robot." He can't be expected to take instructions from just anyone. :D
