Sure, it's nice being on a team with Steph, Dre, Klay, and Dray. And there probably are not too many owners like Lacob, GM's like Myers, or coaches like Kerr. Then too, maximum money is nice. I just hope he doesn't let some other overwhelming endearment influence him into forsaking true affection.

As for KD, if I'm him I stay here for life. Gets called undisputed best player in the world when his teammate beat him and was more successful than him prior to his move, and changes his game to hurt himself to make KD look good.. on top of him being the one who gets the double teams. It's like being in a group project with a genius, but you get the the accolades. Doesn't make sense at all for him to leave. Saying that, KD's such a weirdo I have no idea what he's going to do. I feel like he was 100% leaving earlier this season but who knows now.

He can potentially make way more offcourt than his NBA salary.

But not sure what his business is, making TV shows and movies? Lebron does that too but unless they make a monster hit, he’s not going to get more than his NBA salary.

Other possibility is Nike throwing him more m9ney to go to NY or some other market, so that he draws a lot of coverage about leaving a team again, like last time.

does The Shop get any ratings? I saw a few clips and it was so cringey. I watched KD's show too, it was better but I could give two **** about sneakers and athlete brands.

I don’t know but Bron and KD seem to have production companies.

And Kobe may be doing something with movies too.

I don’t think any athlete have produced some big hit.

The media is so hell bent on getting KD out of GS that they are saying Warriors better without KD. If thats the case then how could he "ruin" the league as they like to say? Media is on full meltdown trying to create a wedge in this team. Never ever seen anything like this before.

KD + Kyrie isn't a bad starting point, but it's a LONG way from a championship. And that's not even including Dolan's incompetance which will probably sabotage any long term plan anyway.

I'm not going to be a hypocrite about it, he has a right to go where he wants for whatever reasons he wants. If it was true when he left OKC (it was), then it has to still be true now. I'll wish him well and we move on. Not a choice I would make, but I'm not him.

If he is set on leaving, it would be cool if he's open to a sign-and-trade so we can get something for him, but he doesn't really have an incentive to help the team he's leaving out.

If we do a sign-n-trade deal, we would get back some players with closed to 40m in salary total, unless that team is way under the cap.

And if they're way under the cap, they can just sign him with cap space instead of weakening their team by giving up players.

What a complete EGO stroke KD must need to leave the best team in history....with the best chemisty in history....to go to a big market to be fawned at and recongized as THE reason they are better....:(

If he leaves he will regret it. He won't win a championship elsewhere. The only way he might is if the Knicks get Kyrie AND Davis.

The thing is, no one knows what Durant regrets or values. Maybe it has nothing to do with basketball, maybe it's where he lives, maybe the famous Warrior chemistry doesn't include him, and maybe it changes from week to week. Really, all we have is media speculation.

True. I'm basing my statement on the assumption he cares what people think of him and he wants to prove he can win a championship without the Warriors. It might not be strictly a basketball decision. I know I feel like it should be at this point and he can wait a few years to pull his LeBron move, but you're right I can't read his mind.

I don’t understand how winning with Irving and AD would make such a big difference compared to winning with Steph& Klay. The discriminant factor is green?
Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. It’s not like going to Atlanta or Phoenix and trying to win without any proven star next to you. At this point, if it’s just about proving to be capable to win on his own (which makes no sense anyway, even MJ never did that, he had pippen) it would make more sense going back to OKC and trying to win a title there with westbrook. This would be a challenge no one ever accomplished to overcome

I think pretty much everyone realizes that except him and Rich Kleiman.

There is nothing more for him to prove here and they both know it. Quite frankly I agree.

Isn't the same true for Curry? Kerr? Klay? Draymond? Should they all feel hollow inside and spread to the winds?

Sure there is. 3-peat. A 4 5 or 6 peat.

What if he wins 6 titles and has 6 Finals MVPs? At the end of his career he could be one of the most decorated basketball players the game has ever seen. And nobody, not even the haters could take that away from him.
