Have a feeling Utah takes it today, been a weird series like that.

The postgame question I want asked: "Doc, for 3 seasons in a row, the Warriors have luckily avoided playing your team in the playoffs. What do you need to do as coach and GM, so that the Warriors stop dodging the Clippers?"
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Definitely preferred the Jazz. Clips would've been too easy, sad to say.

I was hoping the Clippers would win so we would have all home games against them. The Jazz are well coached with a good mix of vets and young players who don't stray from the system.

Maybe Doc will shut up this time. So glad to see L.A. lose. It never gets old.

Jazz fan here, but also a realist. I'll be happy if this goes to 6 games for our young guys to gain some experience. Goodluck!

I would have preferred the Clippers. The Jazz have the slow tempo and inside power that can wreak havoc on the Dubs style of play. I see this as a difficult series for the Warriors.

Now mercy on the Jazz. Payback for Fisher-gate.

Clips are the better match-up. Likely would have swept them. I think we beat Utah in 5.

Feels like we had about a month off. Hope we advance but its not a sweep... 5 or 6 games. With so much downtime i started spending more time with the wife and kids. Ouch. Go Dubs.

The Clippers might want to think a little bit about how when they were playing defense at the beginning of the season they were actually good for a while. Then they might want to think about whether Carmelo Anthony is really what they need.

That said, I hope they re-sign all of them and bring in Anthony too. My friend suggested yesterday that Steve Ballmer might just be dumb enough and rich enough to shell out all that money, in which case the Clippers will continue to be the Warrors' butt-boys.

Curious, why don't you think the Cavs make it? Their defensive counterparts are atrocious, but I can't see any of their crap Eastern opponents usurping them.

They just seem vulnerable and I think teams will get up for them. Having said that, I do think they are more likely than anyone else to make it. I just see it as still < 50%. In my office pool I went with Boston. No one thinks Boston can beat them due to the beatdown they took @boston, but that's just one game.

I already told you guys. Cleveland is melting down this round. Kyrie is such a liability on the perimeter that (as long as Lowry doesn't go in the tank again) guarding both Lowry and Derozan on the perimeter is going to cause some foul trouble. It won't be Lebron in foul trouble, but he is going to have to cover for whoever is. A ton will then have a "only human" 4th quarter in game 2resulting in the series going to Toronto 1-1. Then the recriminations will begin.

Toronto in 6. Then celtics over toronto in 5. We will be playing the Cs in the finals.

Interesting take. FWIW there's just no way you can have 3 net negatives on D in the starting lineup and expect to stop a good offense. The Cavs will stumble but I just don't see how they don't keep winning. The Celtics aren't in sync right now either and can't create on O outside of IT...I guess Ill believe it when I see it. At least they have home court?

The Raptors will be a great litmus test. Guard heavy and I think Ibaka wins the battle at the 4.

I wonder how a Cavs Rockets series would go if they played this round? I think that goes 7 unless Tristan goes nuts.

No realistic way to retain CP3, Griffin, and DJ *and* acquire any other FA, especially one in the salary range of Melo.

And just to jinx ourselves a little. Who do we prefer in the conference finals? Rox or Spurs? I feel like Klay owns Harden but there's a part of me that wants our path to the finals to be the toughest possible.

The obvious choice is the clippers.
A. They're a divison rival
B. They aren't fully healthy missing a superstar
C. It would be awesome to be the team that puts the Flippers out of their misery once and for all, resulting in CP3 and Blake leaving, Rivers being fired, and Balmer having no choice but to blow it up.

However, beating the Jazz, would be a better test for the Warriors. They are a great team with a bright future and great head coach. They normally play the Dubs hard and it should help the dubs get their feet wet with some REAL competition unlike the sorry ass Trailblazers.
The scariest question in NBA history.

"Can Stephen Curry get better?"

I think Rockets would be tougher matchup over Spurs.
