I hear MJ and Phil Jackson are available . . . might be their only hope.

If he just comes in 2 rebound, block shots, set screens and run the floor, then he may actually be decent for them. Would be quite hard to score if AD, Cuz and Smith are all in there looking to hunt for blocks.

You and I both know he's going to sit in the corner and hoist up prayers

Watching the Knicks and Jack is totally controlling the offense, not forcing it at all and he looks healty. Happy for him.

Knicks are my feel good pick to make the Eastern Conference playoffs. Would be great with Melo being gone.

Carmelo is good at making teams better by leaving.

Lillard sinks a contested step-back long 3 pointer FTW tonight...Brain dead shot considering he had plenty of time to make a play to get to the line or set up a teammate..

So I am enjoying the season. All the talk about how the warriors broke the nba is just that, talk. Every year there are exciting storylines. In the east, I am enjoying Boston. With Gordon going down and I didn't expect much out of them but they are playing hard and playing well. They will get some sort of "replacement" player and Ainge really has the assets to make this team even better. I would be enjoying the cavs losing to bad teams more if the Warriors got off to better start. Still they went from we have enough to beat the warriors to we suck in 2 weeks. Now if Lebron has to score 50 for them to win I'm ok with that.

Love what NYC is doing without Carmello.
Love what Indiana is doing without George.

Neither of these teams have to do much to be better than they were with their stars. NYC just has to make the playoffs, any spot. Same for indiana. I love that the 2 guys traded for George have turned into more than a bag of chips.

Hoping Philly (although I hate the **** process), detroit, orlando make playoffs.. along with NYC, Toronto, Wiz. This is the year. Someone has to beat Cleveland.
The Fultz thing is something to keep an eye on.

Out west, Perhaps New Orleans can make the playoffs again. We'll see. Clippers are better than expected but love the ownage by Draymond. I actually picked them to make playoffs. Lonzo.have nothing against the kid just hate the coverage. Not his fault but damn. It's sickening. OR maybe it's just the lack of coverage for much better rookies.

Where the heck is kawhi. Everything seems so scretive. And actually it seems like nobody cares. Where the heck is he and what is wrong with him? That team will of course win a lot of games but not going for without kawhi.

To early to tell which way the west is going. In my mind..gs, houston, spurs, clips, Minny, Memphis, are making playoffs. I guess i have to say okc but damn they are up and down. Their coach sucks. Really, he is bad. It's going to be a bloodbath for the last few spots.

My early takes

I totally agree with couchie...the NBA is as fantastic as it’s ever been..so many storylines to follow..

but I totally disagree on the clippers..they are a God awful 5-4 team..the backcourt is frightening

I’m betting on Philly every game that Simmons and Embiid are healthy

I have a lot more to give but have to go

What I'm realizing is my suspicion of the last few years, there's never been this much talent in the NBA. Almost every single team has 1 amazing player on their team. Giannis & the Unicorn blowing up is giving us a prelude of what to expect in the NBA for the next decade. Just look at the game Lebron had, then OKC Celtics, then Harden last night. Fantastic games all around. My only issue is the comical mistakes with the guys in stripes. The pathetic flagrants for nothing just give me such a huge sour taste. :nonono:

West is a warzone right now. GSW, Rockets, Spurs, OKC, Wolves will all make the PS. Pelicans, Jazz, Clippers, Blazers & Grizzlies to fight for the other 3 spots.

Also, I expected Cavs to struggle this year due to IT's injury, but their defense has been porous. They are the worst defensive team in the league so far into this season, including Lebron. The only way this team improves is a new coach, Lue is easily the worst coach in this league. Otherwise teams like Rockets & Spurs are better than Cavs this year, regardless of playoff Lebron.

I know this is going to sound like hating, but does everyone just get better when they leave okc?

Nov. 17 Clips v Cavs. That could be an epic trainwreck.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

NOLA dumped Josh Smith. They could get good now. Maybe he should go to OKC.
