What a win!!! That was a great game, I loved how we didn't quit while down early. Everyone stayed poised and just found a way to get it done. Gary was a pest, Wiggins was a beast with his all-around game, and Steph came alive in the 2nd half (especially the 4th) to get it done for us in crunch time.

And of course... Looney!!!! This man is one of my all-time favorite Warriors.

Y'all are disrespectful. Steph is playing through a thumb injury on his shooting hand (it's in a wrap), if we had a good team that wasn't injured he'd have time to heal. He's gutting it out for you unlike an Embiid type star.

I wonder what kind of contract it would take to sign Looney after this season.

He's never made big money and it would be tough if the Warriors asked him to take a minimum contract after having a half-decent contract for the first time in his career.

He does all the little things which are helpful but never a big scorer, though with Curry getting trapped, he gets a lot of opportunities in the restricted area and he's not going to have a lot of these overpowering dunks. He has to finesse it, pump fake and then go up for a layup usually.

But he works hard and gets rebounds, especially offensive rebounds, in key situations.

Have to give it up to the players tonight. They played hard. With intensity. Best and most important win of the season.

A few observations.

1) Without Draymond Green directing the offense every play, there are a lot less turnovers. Has anyone else noticed this? Curry once again had zero turnovers. Interesting.

2) I especially am appreciative of the effort (if not always the talent) of Santos, Podz, & Moody. Their hustle is infectious.

3) I'm not trading Looney or GP2. They contribute to winning basketball even if it isn't pretty.

4) Guys I am trading? Buddy & TJD are at the front of the line.

5) Wiggins has really been solid this year. I don't think you include him in a trade for Butler or LaVine.

6) Playing bigger lineups helps SO MUCH. Looney played 25 great minutes; Slow-Mo had 15; Santos 19; Post 8.

7) Team still needs offensive help really badly. Vuc or LaVine would be a huge boost for this offensive challenged group.

8) I'm not sure which is worse -- listening to Tom Brady announce football games or Bob Myers announce basketball games. But yeah, I'm sure that's just me. :)

9) Schroder looks much better playing the backup point guard position and playing less directly with Curry. It seems like at least that's one thing Kerr has figured out.

10) And finally, I just don't think we should quite give up on this team entirely just yet. Even a modest trade that would give an offensive boost could make a difference. When Draymond & JK get back (fairly soon), you just can't play all these guys anyway. Consolidate and improve your team.

Steph, dray, kuminga, and podz are untouchables. The only player that mjd wants to dump is wiggins + our expirings per Slater and Marcus.

Podziemski,
TJD,
Hield,
Anderson,
Santos,
GPIII,
Moody,
Post,
Waters

these are 9 players that have to be included in trades in order to upgrade the roster.

1)Curry,
2)Wiggins,
3)Kuminga,
4)Green,
5)Schroder,
6)Looney

are good players that Warriors should try to keep.
Use some players of the last list for a trade, only if a good trade opportunity comes up.
Preferable use Looney, Schroeder.

Wiggins, Kuminga and Green is a difficult choice to make who will be traded. Personally I would keep Wiggins but I am a Wiggins fan ok, so I cannot be objective.

Warriors have to make trades that will be 3-4 players for one and use picks.

If Kuminga is too good to trade then they shouldn’t make a trade. Instead just play the hell out of him when he returns.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

STFU....How you think Curry was defended in 2021 with best scorers Wiggs and Oubre? Do you see this kind of defence first time in Curry career? He played against double/triple defence throughout his all career. He torched everything in a row with Wiggs and Ourbe 4 years ago. First need to be objective for yourself and Curry and dont s...k d... like Lebich stans

we should keep GP2 he seems to be the key matchup in many situations. Santos is cheap and we should keep too. Podz probably the only young player that is untouchable.

Schroder is No1 going out for sure, does not make us better and has a decent salary to play with.

at least I'm a "curry stan", one of the greatest to ever play the game who is still the best player in the team by a wide margin and balling at high level, not a kuminga stan....

What do high IQ guys want to say here? Are you saying that 37y old Curry would have 33.7 pts/36min with 21 squad?

Do you see difference between 25pts and 34pts? Do you understand that Curry cant play anymore +34min and B2B due age?

he doesn't foul-bait like prime harden but in the end he gets more generous whistles than prime harden, so it's actually worse.
it is what it is, he's a foul merchant rewarded in a disgusting way. and that's the reason why, regardless of actual stats and team record, I'd never give him the MVP award. giving to such officiated player the MVP would be a travesty. apart he fact jokic is clearly the better player of the two so it should never be a conversation anyway.

He gets a lot of Kobe type calls. Remember all those swipes missed him by 3 ft and getting shooting fouls constantly? The league is trying to make him the next Kobe.

The one play I recall is SGA driving into the lane and Post retreating from him but SGA pushes off with his offhand, makes the shot and gets an And-One chance.

The ONLY contact was initiated by SGA with his offhand pushing off. Post was retreating too much to contest the shot, though he had both arms up high, he was so far off that the little finger roll was easy.

A similar play, Wiggins goes downhill into the lane, doesn't push off but makes chest to chest contact with Hartenstein, banks the shot in, nothing called.

In the second half they actually called SGA once for an offensive foul for warding off.

But all the top players get away with initiating contact to create space, SGA, Jokic does a LOT of pushing off with off hand to work his way down right under the basket, pushes his defender under the basket so his shot is rarely contested from right in front of the hoop.

Of course Giannis also goes downhill, knocking people backwards to get easy looks and LeBron has been doing it his whole career.

On the Warriors, Wiggins is the only one who can consistently create space when he Euro steps towards the basket and sometimes pushes defenders back. Nothing like the superstars but he can get his share in some games.

Kuminga doesn't try this move as much. Instead he slams hard into defenders with his upper torso and often gets called for offensive foul or at best, the defender falls and the refs treat it as a flop.

Curry sometimes pushes off with his offhand as he sets up his step back jumper but really seems to work mostly with defenders his size or smaller than him. Most of the time, the players defending him are longer, stronger.
