I am exceedingly optimistic and have no doubt they should pay him. He's already made massive improvements with the ball in his hands this season in regards to pacing and staying in control. But development is always an uneven process. Regardless, the impact Jimmy is making on Kuminga's game is obvious.
So the idea he should be traded just so he can breakout next year or at most the year after? Madness and stupidity.
Do you think he's going to be a ~60% TS% player next year? I don't and that's what you need from a high-volume player if you want to win. Maybe it's worth it to pay him and hope he's ready by the time the max contracts are done in 2 more years.
He will eventually. For instance, Giannis didn't eclipse 60% TS% until his 6th/age 24 season when it took a huge leap to 64% and the Bucks went from a ~.500 team to the top team in the East.

Effort? From MY Jimmy Butler?

On this team, to me he's the 4th best option behind Curry, Butler and Draymond.

Come on, he was basically 60% TS% (.599 and .598) season 4 and 5 for ages 22 and 23 and was all-nba. Eclipse 60% is you trying to just justify Kuminga, not putting up a real arguement.

Kuminga's TS% has been .600, .597 and .598 his prior three seasons so what's your point?
