Moody played his way out of that fifth starter role and Hield played his way back in.

If he wants to get crafty maybe he plays Post or GPII instead of Hield - and either move is meant to get Gobert out of the lane. I gotta think that is going to be a key goal for the Warriors - get Gobert out away from the basket.

I don't see why we would want to play 3 non-shooters together against Gobert. I saw the biggest issue was a lack of shooters on the floor that it made last series an absolute grind it down series of bad shooting and tons of wrestling.

Buddy running hot in the place of GP2 is why we are in this series. The amount of wide open shots they got Buddy was huge. Moody might have off shooting nights but teams guard for his shot, GP2 its a 6-1 guy trying to roll for dunks.

As far as defensively I think Moody or GP2 is a wash vs Edwards. Moody has the length to play at distance, dare him to shoot while still being able to contest, and the strength to not get run over on drives. GP2 laterally is great, but he's a better anticipation help defender than on ball guy. Once Edwards gets a foot in the paint GP2 isn't much size resistance.

As far as Sengun being put on Moody, Sengun is the weak link on defense not who the Rockets defense is catered around. If Gobert is chilling in the corner glued to Moody thats a huge win. Sengun is a bad defender, Gobert is the DPOY entirely based on his defense within 5 feet of the hoop.

The Rockets were the 2nd best team in the West imo, and would have beaten everyteam aside from OKC in a R1 matchup imo. The Warriors having played the Rockets are a better team as a result. The Wolves style of play doesnt mesh well with the Dubs style of defense and the Wolves defense will have trouble guarding the Dubs lack of size. Aside from Ant, its a bad matchup for Minn.

The point is if the Wolves want to have Gobert on Moody in the corner that's a win for us. Last thing this team wants is Gobert parked in the paint on a non-shooter.

If Gobert is guarding Moody he is absolutely going to be parked in the paint. People are talking about GPII but Moses shot 12/34 or 35% from three vs. the Rockets. That's actually a lower percentage than GPII (6/15 or 40%).

Reputation is not the same as percentage. Just because Dray hits a few it doesn't mean he is going to start getting guarded like Harrison Barnes. Houston dared Moody to beat them off the dribble. GP2 they just left alone on the 3 point line. Pick your poison.

Butler + Kuminga and others chipping in are enough to beat the Wolves.

GPII with 26 minutes, 3/4 from the field, 2/3 from the three point line. 5 rebounds, 4 assists to 1 turnover, 1 steal. Spent some time as the primary defender on ANT. He is gonna play an important part in this series for the Warriors!

Moody with 9 minutes and a team-worse -14. In nine minutes!

I don't know what happened to Moses Moody and I hope he snaps out of it, but he is being outplayed by Pat Spencer right now. :dontknow:

At this point the cat is out the bag.. even with no other threats on the floor, Kuminga scores fairly easily vs the Wolves (as he does vs the Rockets). I think Kerr should play entirely through Kuminga as the #1 option in game 3(will likely lose regardless) and then shift strat in game 4 into a more balance attack with JK still as a main focus of the defense.

Letting Poole miss shots and turn the ball over a few years ago was fine, but Kuminga doing it seems to be a bridge too far. It's strange.

I think they alternate wins and loses until game 7 and win. G3-L, G4-W, G5-L, G6-W, G7-W

TheWolves are the better team than warriors without curry, but the Wolves don’t have killer instinct and I expect the world to give the Warriors game 4.

Moses Moody never did become a great defender like he was supposed to. Turns out you need more than long arms to be a great defender.

Moody’s best skill is hitting open threes.
