Or maybe they know, but they aren't going to hint one way or another to keep that distraction out of the playoffs.

Give me PJ Tucker or Mirotic and I think Warriors are fine.

Let's hold on this take until we play against a team with competent defense. Yes I also know we had two wins without KD against the Rockets(Good defensively but are lead by borderline Playoff chokers)
IMO it's ridiculous to say he stunts the greatness of Curry. Steph has still played incredible with Durant since the move. He just had a bad slump to start the Playoffs. He was bricking wide open jumpers, missing layups, and constantly in foul trouble which is what even Steph believes got him out of rhythm. He was not being stunted by KD's ISO ball in the Clippers series.

Exactly. People’s memory is less than a one game span which is pathetic.
KD nearly saved us from the Clippers.

Steph plays significantly better when KD isn't on the court, period. People need to stop putting their heads in the sand to imply otherwise. Saying that, the team overall is better when KD is with the Warriors so as fans you want to keep him with the team as long as possible.

Steph's performance did not have some crazy drop off when he played w/ KD in the Playoffs.

Because Kerr plays them together? His shooting gets better when KD is not on the court, stop deluding yourself otherwise.
Saying that, the team is obviously better with KD and it's crazy that anyone would argue otherwise.

This was an interesting and thought provoking exchange. I'll admit that I go even farther than "Frozzy's" thinking about Durant. I don't know if that's because I believe him to be among the all-time greats I've seen or, in this case, if I'm fighting believing myself delusional. But, conversely, after some thinking, I also came to understand why "Impunity" could have his perception.
After Durant's arrival I think our bench took somewhat of a hit. Kerr has adapted by assuring that at least one of our three exceptional shooters/scorers is almost always on the floor. Whomever that is inevitably becomes our designated shooter. It's hard to argue with the probability that Steph looks better when he's taking "all" the shots, or that even Klay and Kevin have their moments in like situations.
Another argument that I think is more problematic, but is fact, is that Steph had his best year scoring the year before KD arrived. But some could think that was aberrational, particularly observed in the context of his first six years in the league. In fact his production in his last three years with Durant has been better than the ten years he has played, other than in that 2016 season. (https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/curryst01.html) So it is hard for me to see KD as a problem -- for the team which both sides have recognized -- or for Steph, unless one feels another 3 points a game will affect his historical standing more than the championships. (And do not forget the playoffs when thinking of 2016.)
Contrary to some of the internet trolls who keep bringing up that of Kevin, I really believe both of their legacies are already carved in Granite.

KD is a perfect fit on this team IMO, he can play any style of basketball and when teams with elite D take away our player/ball movement, he can be counted on to get us a big bucket.
