I just can’t get behind your assessments. Mostly because your favorite guy is Adonal Foyle. The epitome of the dark times and poor decisions.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
in Kevin O'Connor's draft profiles thingy, the part I bolded surprised me in Okongwu's pluses
and overall he sounds like a way better fit for our club than Wiseman
PLUSES
Excellent finisher with soft hands that catch tough passes, a pillowy touch around the rim, and the quick-leaping ability to score with power.
Good post scorer. He does a nice job of getting into position by sealing off defenders. Once he gets the ball, he displays flashes of advanced ability with spins, drop steps, and fakes.
Handles the ball like a wing. He has a quick first step with an arsenal of moves, including crossovers and rip-throughs, that he uses to get to the rim. But he doesn’t overdo it; he makes good decisions and plays within himself.
He makes slick passes, loves to throw outlets, and passes well out of the post. He needs to make quicker reads off rolls to the rim and from the perimeter, but he’s in a good place at his age.
Does the little things: He hustles, screens well, rebounds all over the floor, and makes clutch plays.
Excellent pick-and-roll defender. He’s mobile and versatile, able to drop, switch, or hedge. When he’s protecting the rim in either pick-and-roll or help situations, his positioning, timing, and instincts lead to effective shot alterations. He’s usually in the right spot, which is rare for a player his age.
and overall he sounds like a way better fit for our club than Wiseman

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
Okungwu will be a solid player. No knocks on him at all other than he’s the same height as both Looney and especially Chriss.
I watched quite a few USC games and I don’t think I ever came away from watching his offense other than put backs and post ups against small guys. Never saw this dribbling ball handling you speak of.
However, if he displayed that skill at Chino Hills, then I buy it. Maybe he had an opportunity to display that skill there, but at USC they most likely had more strict ideas about him playing big versus small.

Well, I just tested you. All the comparisons were actually made by NBA experts and sports analysts that have written articles that have made that comparison (Except the last one. Wanted to see anyone caught that, you took the bait, LOL).
I relish those years; Take that back, LOL. How can you not like the guy? Such a joy to watch during ATG with Larry Biel. Not a house-hold name in the NBA among greats, but he's actually quite an intellectual and giving person. It's stuff he has done off the basketball court. Look it up, tough guy. *Shaq*

I know all about Adonal. Great guy, huge NBA loser.
Reminding me of Jamison and Adonal should be an automatic ban for you.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
If I had to compare Wiseman to anyone it would be Anthony Davis. Obviously the jump shot is not proven by Wiseman, that will take time. But I see him patterning his game after AD being a guy playing both sides of the ball.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
I'm getting a little weary of the Wiseman scouting reports. Everything that's said about his defense scares me off. I dunno if I'm onboard anymore. Not really liking Deni either because of the shooting issues. Think I'm all aboard the trade down train at this point.

Seems like you have a personal vendetta against Adonal, LOL. He tried, man.
Obviously, the name brings back putrid memories of his lackluster play and reoccurring PTSD episodes triggering those hideous dungeon years. But, I guess some sports fans can only appreciate players who accumulate accolades that help define their pro career. Rightfully so, and I understand. I do, too, but, I do also look at what they do off the court that impacts their community and younger generation of kids in a positive way, as well. And even though Adonal didn't thrive on the hardwood floor, he gained my respect for being involved in that initiative. Hence, AdonalFoyle4Prez was born.
So, yeah, quit being a huge hater.

Just read that Fran Fischella has some good things to say about Wisemans perimeter defense. Frans pretty darn good over the years.

Ty-Shon Alexandre Will be a good back up PG. I will be ok if we take him at 48. If not trade up for Malachi Flynn. Either can play big minutes for us next year

Just realized Mr. Wiseman's Twitter handle is BigTicket_JW. Either it's purely coincidental, or that's who he idolizes to become like in the NBA. So many careerpaths this young buck can take; It's like an incoming college freshman with an undecided major. Just hopefully he doesn't drop out and.. Oh, wait..

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
Here's what I think the odds are of the Warriors pick, if they do pick for themselves at #2:
Avdija 35%
Vassell 15%
Haliburton 15%
Edwards 15%
Okoro 10%
Toppin 5%
Other 5%
You'll notice none of them are bigs. Maybe I'm wrong, I just don't see them drafting a C or PF/C (Wiseman, Okongwu). But I also don't have high certainty about exactly who they'd pick, you can put together a great case for any of these guys, and others (Hayes, Ball, Williams).

I think Okongwu will be best player out of this draft.
He’s versatile defensively, intelligent, hard working, and plays with passion. He’s not an incredible athlete, but he’s bouncy enough to catch lobs effectively. He’s got a quick first step in the mid post and attacks the ball on rebounds.
I like Vassell as top wing and Hayes as top pg.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
Reports say warriors are going for a wing player so I hope they pick vassell, hali, or hayes
Vassell is more dynamic and has a high setpoint jump shot. He would be my top wing. Would be a good backup next year for klay/wiggins
Hali shoots a push shot sort of like curry but seems even more of 1motion push. He shoots from range easily. Prefers driving right and isn't an over the rim player. Good back up for the 1/2 spot.
Hayes seemed to have a big improvement in euro but it was only 10 games. He follows the curry school of 1 motion semi push shots and floaters.
Not a fan of avedijia or ball
I think vassell hayes and hali( more variability) will be in the league for awhile

Re: 2020 Draft Thread, Part 2
Well reports are that Wolves are going to trade for a "win now" player.
So that's going to be tougher for the Warriors to trade down, unless another team really likes Wiggins.

Another player the same size as Looney and Chris. He will not be able to bang against the bigger centers.
