That's assuming Orlando drafts Holmgren and declines to keep Bamba.

Though it's crazy to think they'd just let him walk, a top 5 pick.

Had his best season in his contract year though.

I think he'll get the QO

Ya he had a very encouraging season. I'd QO him then probably offer him that salary (10m) over multiple years in RFA the following year.

Re: GP2, I didn't realize this but we have early bird rights on him. That means we can offer up to 10-11m for him (105% of league average salary, which ended up being about 10.4M last year). He should 100% be the priority. Quickly flipping through player salaries, an 8/9th man on a non rookie deal should receive around 8-9M, but given Gary's age, lack of hsitorical success and injury history I'm very curious to see what he gets.

If I was him, I'd prioritize a longer term deal with more guaranteed money and no team options that pays less annually.

The good news with GP2 and Loon is that we can go over the cap to sign them due to partial/full bird rights. I think I read GP2 can go all the way up to like 10m a year, so I don't think we lose either of those players. And if my understanding is correct, neither of their deals have to use the TPMLE.

So that leaves the TPMLE for Otto. Thats around 6m, which I think he'd take. However, teams with the 11m MLE may also offer him, so not sure if he'd turn that down.

Also, just because we CAN sign all 3, not sure Lacob is willing to take the massive lux tax hit to do that... but more importantly, we aren't sure that he is ISNT willing to.

I'm hoping neither Loon or GP2 get a 10m offer and hoping Otto is good with the TPMLE. If Otto does get more, I'd try and trade some future 2nds for the rights to Micic and sign him for the TPMLE.

Even if Otto can’t get more than the tpme I wouldn’t be shocked if he left since both Kuminga and Moody should be getting more of the wing minutes next year.

Great point. And in theory even Wiseman would take some center minutes (which is a spot Otto has had minutes).

I think people are overestimating what Porter will be offered by other teams, or even by the Warriors. He averaged 22 mpg, missed a quarter of the season, missed playoff games--his injury history is alarming. I can't see a team gambling multiple years for even as much as the TPMLE on him without non-guarantees or team option factored in. Maybe an incentive for number of games played, or something like that.

It's hard to predict the market for long players who can shoot and defend at a decent level. It only takes one. Like I could see the Sixers going deeper for him because of their need and timeline.

Hope the Warriors take a close look at PJ Dozier. I like the idea of getting him for the minimum if that's possibility.

He had ACL surgery six months ago, so they'd have to check him out pretty closely.

Draft comes before free agency right?

I would think any free agent signings come after they draft and have an idea of whether they believe the draftees are going to get any minutes. Not to mention of course Wiseman, Kuminga and Moody.

Plus anyone they sign is probably going to be late in the free agency period, see if there are players who were expecting to get bigger contracts and decides they'd rather go for a 1-year prove it deal.

I know, him being cleared for full basketball activities now made me think of him again. I liked the idea before and still do if the reports on him are positive.

Warriors should make a big push for Al Hortford next year on a min contract.

Jessup would be eligible for a two-way next season. He is expected in Summer League and training camp.

If he can play a lick of defense while improve his consistency to shoot/score (He had a very bad showing in Summer League and training camp this past season), then I'd be all in for him. Especially on a non-guaranteed/partial deal.

He wasn't in training camp. Because of his Australian contract they would have had to sign him to a roster spot for him to go to training camp. And he had some good games in the Summer League.

You’re correct. He actually played very well in Summer League. He looked bad for the start of the first game, and was fine after that.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Okogie looks like a reclamation project the Warriors should reach out to, especially if they cannot keep GPII. Where if not here could a good athletic defensive Guard who can't shoot find a role.

Rubio is my priority.

Dubs need another facilitator and he isnt a liability on defense. Dray and steph will likely get some load management and i dont think poole is that facilitator.

I think he might take less to ring chase after watching his 2 friends celebrate winning the title. And knowing that he could also conserve his body a little more coming off an injury because of how guys like otto and iggy were handled.

Among the teams he could be traded to are the Golden State Warriors. Rubio welcomes the possibility with open arms. "It would be nice to play with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson," he notes.

The Spaniard is in his final year of contract with Cleveland. However, becoming a free agent is not something he's afraid of or concerned about.

"How much do I care? Zero," he firmly says.

"I've already made money in the NBA. It's all up to me, how I recover. I'm not in any hurry, I can wait until June - unless something exceptional comes up. My only goal now is to get my knee back."

The GREAT thing is most vet FA's are targeting the Championship Warriors at this point. Warriors will be the favorite next year for sure.

I think the other person who could fit this role (vet on minimum facilitator) is Joe Ingles. GS was interested in him in 2021, he'd be a good culture fit like Rubio.
