Why don’t you focus on his numbers in college? That might be more telling than that video.

I still think the best Okongwu comparison for year one would be Chriss 2020 version. Not only is that a complement for a rookie, but I wouldn't have a problem having 2 similar players able to lock down 48 minutes at C. Both also have the versatility to play the PF or even together if needed.

Chriss per 36 is 17/11/3/2/1 with a +7 net rating per 100 possessions.

Whoever drafts Okongwu is going to be VERY happy. Our issue is we have the 2nd pick, and ideally land whoever is going to be an ALL STAR, and not just a really solid starting big. But there will absolutely be players drafted ahead of Okongwu that don't hit their potential and end up worse than he is.

I've seen plenty of Vassell film from college and his shot did not look like that before. That's what concerns me. Major changes to shot form before the draft are huge red flags.

Ok bud.

I’m fine with Vassell. And I’m fine with Haliburton and their shots. Both guys would be good fits for us.

I think their shots will be just fine. Remember on our time guys like them will find themselves wide open. They won’t even really be guarded heavily if Steph and Klay are on the floor. They’ll be fine.

Can't be worse than MKG's form, so I'm fine as long as his form can stay consistent and he nails it 38%+ of the time all season.

Poku jump shot is so quick. Reminds me of sharpshooters like Klay and Ray in that regard. Obviously the results are not the same lol.

He still doesn't look as tall to me as Wiseman, yet people claim he's a legit 7 foot. Would love to see official measurements for his height and weight.

If he's a legit 7 footer, I still have him top of my big board.

Haliburton's shot is less concerning to me. I mean I don't think he'll ever be a great off the dribble shooter, but he's been a great catch and shoot guy by percentages. But it really doesn't concern you to see a high level shooter all of a sudden make dramatic changes to his form?

There is something about quickness that seems to indicate natural ability and potential.

If you watch these highlights for AD from his college run in the tournament....he's quick. His release is quick...his movement is faster...I think that is the main reason I am suspicious of Wiseman... but ...we'll see :)

First thing I noticed in looking at that video - his legs don't look rail-thin anymore. I wonder if he's gained a bit of weight (which would be good.......)
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

Yeah, somebody in Vassell's camp must have put the kibosh on the video. Smart of them to do so, that's the type of shot that gets you a big drop in the draft.

AD benefited from learning and playing guard at 6'2" and had a huge growth spurt later in high school. So, he is who he is today from that and developing a big-man game, too. Don't think Wiseman ever played guard in his AAU days? I will have to do some research on that, but would still say no.

Wiseman is just built more like a center. He probably outweighs Davis by 20-30lbs for their college weight.

This draft is funny, at first I wasn't enthralled with anyone, now there's at least 5 guys I'd be really happy to get, I'm getting greedy and wish they would find a way to pick up several.

I think I saw he measured as 6’10” barefoot which means with shoes he’s close to 7”

Heard Lamelo asked if he could play with the Splash Brothers. He just said he likes to think he could fit in with any team.

I guess the interviews start tomorrow ...

Poku has a nice stroke but the adolescent body is a deal breaker. I could bully him down low and I'm 6'0" 200 lbs.

Poku lower body strength is improved and was never as glaringly bad as people made it seem. He's just got a really narrow upper body, like a KD or Bertans does.. so he looks REALLY skinny.

If he measures 6'11 or more barefoot with a 7'2 wingspan.... it's him and Wiseman as the top two in the draft for me.

Poku is definitely intriguing for a 7 footer with a vast skillset. Definitely Jokic-lite (literally).

If he can add on some serious weight without compromising his mobility, then I'd take a look at him. But, I think he'd be more available between mid-first round to late-first-round pick due to his low risk, high reward label. But, then again, Kristap Porzingis shot up to draft pick #4 a couple years back. So, anything's possible.
