It's wild that MPJ is about to come back before Wiseman.

I don't understand the wait. Klay, I understand.

But wait for a home game just to celebrate his return?

Has there been a new update on MPJ? Last I saw was that he "is progressing toward on-court contact within a week" from a couple of days ago. Not the most definitive report. I wouldn't bet on either one to come back over the other first. MPJ didn't play well to start the season, presumedly because of his back, so it will be interesting to see how he is in his return.

I mean for one thing MPJ has a pretty injury-riddled history. For another thing he had spine surgery. The back is no joke. Typically back issues take much longer to fix. Look at Draymond. He's probably out for 2-3 months in total without any surgery. Yes, you can say every injury is different. But it's still wild to me. I think everyone expected MPJ to miss at least the rest of this season when he went down.

To win the championship Wiseman will need to be as good as he was last year physically, fully recoved, and better than he was last year mentally.

to win the championship EVERY Warriors player will need to play better than they currently are and act like they care on defense, Draymond will need to be healthy and Klay will need to be able to play without the ball. Wiseman and his contributions would come after all that for me.

Agreed. Winning a championship is not solely dependent on Wiseman. Curry needs to get back, or at least closer, to his historical shooting levels, Klay needs to get back in shape and back to playing Warriors team basketball, Poole needs to play more consistently at the higher levels he displayed at the end of last season, and Dray needs to be back in shape and playing with the defensive intensity he had prior to his injury. This team is not winning or losing just because of Wiseman.

yeah lets hope Wiseman will solve all the issues on offense and defense.

on offense he will make us run less iso ball and more Curry FGA
on defense he will protect the paint and able to switch

you really believe in that?

Well, nobody said that, so...

I don't have high hopes for this season at least.

But can he be any worse than putting Kuminga or JTA on talented and physical centers like Jokic and KAT?

Those guys are threats from 3 all the way to the restricted area. Looney can at least be physical with them but he's vulnerable trying to defend them near the arc because they can drive by him.

Wiseman may not be better but at least his length in principle can provide more resistance than their current options.

Really need him to show a high motor though, whether contesting shots or going for rebounds on both ends of the court. He didn't show that consistently in his rookie season, though was getting better just before he was injured.

But coming off injury and being out for so long, he may be tentative.

If you don't have high hopes for this season...it ain't getting better next year or after. :(

A year older Kuminga and Wiseman <> better chance than this year because our core is yet another year older. Maybe it stays the same but Draymond with disk related issues....Curry 35 next year...Klay off of the injuries....decline is very likely.

IMO, each year that passes -% on winning a chip again. Warriors would have been much improved this year had they traded youth for Sabonis. But that is water under the bridge.

In order to win the championship, we need to outscore our opponents 16 times in the playoffs.

Yea, but next year our rooks & wise will have another offseason under their belts and will be bigger contributors. This stretch without Draymond and Iggy has shown that we really need another playmaker tho.

Next year, Kawhi and PG13 are back.

And Murray and MPJ in Denver.

Also not out of the question that Lakers fix themselves. They still have 2 of the best players in the league.

Who knows what Curry will be like. Or Green.

I don't think anybody is suggesting that we pack it in this season. For the time being we are #2 in the west and when healthy the Warriors possess championship talent. The team is struggling right now but that doesn't necessarily mean they are desd in the water.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

At least the expectation bar has been lowered. Right now if Wiseman could play like a 7 foot Jordan Bell I would take it.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.
