Biyombo and Thabeet have absolutely nothing in common except being fromt he same continent.

Biyombo and Thabeet both have only one basic offensive move which is an uncontested dunk. For those who did not get a chance to see Bismack's Italian workout the youtube link is below:

I haven't seen Biyombo play. Those who have describe a guy who knows how to make his impact felt on the defensive end and who flies in transition. Thabeet always seemed a bit lethargic to me. They may be similar in certain respects, but a motor can make a big difference in a defensive specialist's impact.

If Biyombo had an offensive game right now, he'd be the #1 pick. Everybody knows that he is basically going to be a zero on offense. Fortunately for us, our biggest problem is not offense, it's defense. We ranked 12 on offense without any contribution from our center all season. What this team need is a defensive stopper to protect Curry, Ellis, Lee, and Dorell as long as those four are starting. Udoh did a surprisingly good job of that. When he's not in there, Biyombo has the tools to be that guy. He could score 0 points for all I care.

That might be true, until he starts playing.

Thabeet has horrible feet and hands....I dont understand why scouts can't at least see that....? Biyombo has quicker feet....GREAT timing on his shot blocks....nice soft hands. Hope he falls to the Warriors but doubt it.

that was hard to watch, lol. But he still is a serious defender. I don't care if we draft him or not but it would be fun to watch him and Udoh in at the same time.

If Biyombo falls to us I'm going to send Thabeet a box of chocolates.

Biyombo has nice soft hands??? Did you even see the video of his workout? This guy can't handle a pass from a 3 year old.

Before Biyombo's workout people knew his game was all defense and little offense. After Biyombo's workout, people can see that he is all defense and little offense. Yet some people are acting like the workout should drop his stock. We didn't learn anything new and that workout, or at least the video of it, highlighted all of his weaknesses and none of his strengths. I hope it drops his stock so he does fall to us.

Seems like most of you are basing your judgment off of some reports and this workout video. Biyombo is exactly what the warriors need. He is a game changer. His biggest asset by far is his MOTOR. This kid does not stop moving. He hustles for everything and leaves it all on the floor every time he plays. He's also better on offense then he is given credit for. Horrible shooter and bad post moves but he is extremely active on the offensive glass and gets extra possessions and keeps balls alive. Plus he is athletic enough that he can finish the gimmes and would be a great alley oop recipient similar to tyson chandler.

Im definitely buying the ben wallace hype. I think Biyombo is easily a top 5 player in this draft. Please do not compare him to Thabeet, not even remotely close as players. Thabeet was horribly slow and unathletic, he just happened to be massive.

As far as Klay Thompson I watched him a ton in his college career. Great college scorer, and eventually could turn into a Chase Budinger type in the NBA. With that said i don't think this kid will do much at all in the league. Extremely streaker shooter and player, but not talented enough to be allowed to work through the cold streaks in the NBA if that makes sense. His ideal role would be on a good team that needs a scorer off the bench but I don't see him as starter material on a good team at any point. My biggest problem with Klay is that he is the last thing the warriors need. I would much rather have a Chris Singleton type than Klay.

Biyombo has horrible hands and he struggles against taller players. Its a fact. How does that not equal bust?

I can't argue with the hands part, but the part about struggling against taller players. I haven't heard that. What *facts* are you basing that opinion on? I'd be interested to know. And do you mean on offense or defense or both?

There are also speculation that he might be 26 years old. I wouldn't take that much of a risk with a non factor player. He won't even see play time.

The Warriors have to make this pick count and I just don't see them being huge risk takers in this draft...if they keep the pick. Too many holes to fill on a team that is supposed to make the playoffs this coming season.

Supposed to?

Memphis won 46 games. We won 36 and are behind 3 other teams, who are arguably much closer to "supposed to make the playoffs" next season. Very few rookies in the history of the league could come in a provide a 10 game turnaround (the Clips won 8 more games this season with Blake Griffin, Wizards actually lost 5 more games with Wall). I don't think there are any of those at 11. Do you?

It's a recipe for failure if you are expecting a rookie (especially the 11th pick in a weak draft) to put us over the top next season. Sorry, but that's just not realistic at all.

The smart thing to do is look long term, 3-4 years down the road. Pick the player who will contribute the most when we actually have a good team. If you think that's Klay or Marcus Morris, well, fine. But don't pick the guy just because he is the "most NBA ready". That's never a good draft strategy.

That kind of short-sighted fix-it-now philosophy has doomed this team for far, far too long.

his Euro game logs. All his good rebounds per minute played games were against the ACBs sub500 teams. Meaning they were bad or short. Against the top teams with taller people like Regal Barcelona, Rubio's team, and Regal Madrid, Mirotic's team, his rebound numbers and scoring go down dramatically, thus my statement that he struggles against tall competition
