This would get rid of this stupid draft pick issue.

Give the W's more scoring at PF/C.

First, I don't see how this gets rid of the stupid draft pick issue (presuming you mean that we still are on the hook to Utah for a future draft pick).

Second, which of the $15M Jefferson, $13M Bogut, or $12.7M Lee do you have coming off the bench?

Third, why does Utah do this? Jefferson's on the last year of his deal, is a productive player, and all they get back is a prospect, a bad contract, and a guy who would come off the bench behind Hayward. They could do better for him, especially around the trade deadline.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

Kendall Marshall: You know, it's tough. I feel like I have a really unique game, so it's hard to really model my game or take after anyone. There are players I've enjoyed watching, such as Marcus Williams at UConn, Cliff Hawkins at Kentucky; I love watching Rondo now.

It's time for you to all admit that Kendall is our destiny. He admired the guy who we almost lost this pick over....

I don't care where he fits. I don't care how good he'll be next year, on this team. Not one bit. I don't care that Bogut and Lee are in their primes.

I want the player with the best career. We *aren't good enough* to be worried about draft fit.

I totally agree. If we didn't do so, we might have guys like Jordan Hill on the team instead of Curry. Clearly you feel Mashall is in an echelon above a lot of other good players besides some other that could be available at our draft slot. He does one skill that is needed pretty well and is capable of improving in other areas. Like shooting. He'll probably not get much more athletic (although that doesn't concern me on offense). But that also leaves little hope for improvement on defense.

The thing is this draft is full of players who are great in one aspect with solid potential to improve in a few others and possibly be an allstar a few times. If guy a guy like Henson gains 10 lbs and improves his jumper a bit more he could. If Sullinger drops 10-15 more lbs and works really hard on defense he could possibly be an allstar. If Harrison Barnes works more on his driving game he could as well. There is no one with head and shoulders more potential than a couple other guys after Davis. We can get guys who will help us now and in the future.

I just think you might be valuing elite passing as a skill way much more than skills other guys can bring to the table at similarly elite levels.

Actually I'm not sure at all. Everyone should take my draft chatter with a big grain of salt, because I saw very little college ball.

The one thing I did see was how horrible UNC looked without him. They could have easily lost to Ohio U in the tourney.

I also like what he does in his highlights. He just looks to me like someone who should be considered along with Sully and Henson and (maybe) Barnes. Since no one else seems to be championing Kendall, I will.

Alright. I agree that we should get BPA, and like Kendall a lot. I just am with Rem in the train of thought that we need to build up a nice rotation of big men so we don't get screwed when one gets hurt every year, and don't lose the rebound battle like we do every year. I think a lot of these guys are gonna be solid players which is why i prefer the bigs available to us. I'd probably choose Marshall over Barnes though.

I have a huge distrust of overhyped North Carolina kids, and Barnes sets off every alarm bell I've got. Other than Ty Lawson, I think most of them have produced less than expected in the NBA in the last ten years or so. And Barnes not only has fallen back to the pack since high school, he's done it while playing for one of the biggest and best-covered programs, which was waiting to make him a national superstar. Oh, and his skill-set seems to be extremely limited.

He's got Marcus Liberty written all over him, at least for me. Do not want.

That's funny cuz that's the comparison i made about a month ago. Marshall's game resembles a lot of marcus williams

In the NBA .....you may not have 3 superstars to feed, and if you do...and are getting just 8-9 ppg, you get seen as a guy like Chalmers...pretty expendable. Marshall and M Teague got to play with a lineup of Blue Chips and lotto types. You could put CJ Watson in that niche and he looks like an assist guy.

If a PG is getting nice asst numbers and there's nobody else on his team apt to even make a D league roster...that's not real easy. If you are one of those teams so loaded with blue chip types, you barely can use them all...a PG has some advantage. Marcus Williams did have a lot of guys to feed, but he COULD score. He got Nellied. He was not worth his draft slot...or what GSW paid to get him,but if not sandbagged by Nellie, should have been a solid backup,at least. Add Marcus W to the list of guys who's careers got wrecked by Nellie's head games.

I can not recall ANY G getting drafted Rd one after a season scoring less than 10 ppg as a college player.

1. Trade up for MKG

2. Trade down and draft Kendall Marshall / Zeller/Royce White/Meyers Leonard/.

3. Stay put and draft Sullinger or Henson (unless Drummond or Beal drop)

My dream trade is Curry + 7 to the Bobcats for their unprotected 2013 pick. Noel reclassified to a 2012 senior. He's the top of the 2013 nba draft now.

That's on that Brandan Wright for JRich, trading potential for proven. I don't wanna have to wait another 2-3 years for something like that. We traded Monta for Bogut which already shows front office's commitment to win now.

Noel might project to be a fantastic prospect, but he's still a massive question mark. He's not completely unlike Drummond, who a lot of people wouldn't even take with the 7th pick.

So, according to the wiretap, the Nuggets want to grab Royce White at #20. If the Warriors want him, it seems they'll have to do some trading if they don't want to pick him at 7 (very unlikely).

I'd trade rosters with the Bobcats if I knew for sure that it would land Noel. I think he's the next player to have Duncan or Garnett style impact on the league.

Noel is nothing like Drummond. Waaay more aware. Can hit free throws. Can put the ball on the floor. They are not close as prospects. Really, no one recently is close to him as a prospect.

I didn't mean in terms of play, more in terms of the fact that they're both physical specimens without much polish to their game. Although you're right, Noels is more polished.

Duncan won with a good coach and some very good teams. (Hey, remember David Robinson?) Garnett is a great player, but all by himself he barely got Minny into the playoffs most years, or didn't. Give him Charlotte's lineup, I'm thinking no playoffs. Not really the swap I'd make, even if we knew Noel was all that. Charlotte's lineup is toxic.
