Re: Finals: Miami vs San Antonio Thread
why didn't SA make an intentional foul for 2 FT in order to avoid the 3 PT that tied the game ?

Pop made some stupid decisions down the stretch, particularly leaving Duncan and Parker on the bench on key plays. Manu was an extension of Pop's stupidity on the floor.

Re: Finals: Miami vs San Antonio Thread
That was an amazing game and LeBron completely dismantled the Spurs in the 4th quarter, it was amazing to watch. In all of this Ray Allen praise and hate about how 'LeBron missed dat first 3 he ain't dat good' BS people are forgetting that the Heat were down 10 at the start of the 4th...in an elimination game. Down 10 points! They brought out the Finals trophy before the game was even over because Miami looked so dead in the water!
It reminded me of that Pistons/Cavs 4th quarter back in the day where LeBron won the game himself. I cannot overstate how amazing that was to watch. There are so many LeBron haters in the world that people will definitely try and detract from this, saying it was Ray's game and he took over...well...9 points. He made a massive shot and did little else other than two borderline flagrant fouls preventing easy buckets.

i couldnt agree more...
Duncan wouldn't have missed that rebound that led to Allen's 3pt at the end of regulation
it reminded of Vogel's stupidity to play the last Defense without Hibbert at the end of 1st game of East Finals

Re: Finals: Miami vs San Antonio Thread
Wade's inability to shoot is really clogging the lanes for miami. The spurs aren't even guarding wade and bron on the perimeter, rather they're just waiting for them to come into the paint. It's pathetic and boring to watch. That's why boris is able to contain the both of them. Once wade left and they put a shooter in his place, lebron took off and played his cleveland basketball. He looked unstoppable that way.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5

1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

That's why Lebron needs to come to the Warriors
. He'd seriously have a clear path to the basket every game. If not, then Curry, Klay, or Barnes will just drill it from outside.

LeBron has always played better without Wade.

This is why he needs Stephen Curry or Kyrie Irving. Lee, Klay and Curry would do a great job at freeing up LeBron.

I raised a brow as soon as Duncan sat. Strange because its exactly what happened to us in Spurs game 1 when Bogut sat.
Wondered the same about the foul to prevent the three too.

Not to mention it is exactly what Indy did in Game 1 against the Heat and it burned them there.

I guess the thinking was to have better perimeter defenders to defend the 3 in the event of a screen in the first place?

I really have no idea what's going to happen in game 7.... this series has been ridiculously unpredictable. I'm not a Spurs or Heat fan, so just hoping for another game like game 6.

Wow....Spurs roll players like Green look completely afraid. You can always tell when a shooter has no confidence...when they shoot they fall down or shoot off balance as if to make shots look more contested than they are. If Spurs win and overcome the lack of help ....that would be amazing.
