I read that Matt Barnes was griping about the night life in Utah. Didn't Derek Fisher play there for a year? Maybe he could give Matt suggestions. They seem to enjoy the same recreational activities.

That's what Slater said, that the players want LA for the downtime options, while the team wanted Utah to minimize those off court distractions.
Whatever happened to the team that always ate together? Can't imagine Curry would go to a night club.
Then again, Warriors have laid some big eggs at the Lakers so maybe they were enjoying the nightlife there a little too much.
Once they move to San Francisco, they'll face more distractions.
